are now just 50,000 subscribers away from 1 million subs which means we’re officially on the home stretch now so if you can help me out and subscribe if you haven’t already that would be awesome with perhaps the most famous trailer referencing Easter egg of all time dead Island is a pretty decent zombie game and in my opinion a much better game than Dead Island 2 a big reason for that is Dead Island 1’s tone which felt more serious but not too serious that it became The Last of Us Part Two Levels of Depressing the world was also really fun to explore with moments of humor and moments of tragedy i mean who could forget the man in the pool who had lost his family my wife my dad oh my own brother jesus Christ what else could I do let him kill me why are you looking at me like that what the do you want from me i had no choice well when you wake up in the hotel at the beginning of the game there are no zombies waiting to gnarore on your juicy brain which means you do have some time to explore still when you leave your room you’re supposed to turn right and make your way out of the hotel but if you instead turn left you can find this okay so it’s two dead people in a game literally full of dead people what’s the big deal well these are the parents from the now legendary Dead Island 1 trailer in the trailer which is played backwards the two people we just found can be seen trying in vain to fight off the undead to protect their daughter who does eventually turn like I said this trailer is legendary even if Dead Island itself didn’t quite match up to it now getting as many eyes on your game as possible is the name of any trailer or showcase you need to show the very best version of the game to people so that they part with their money and pre-order a game that will never ever sell out well at E3 2015 Sony decided to end their show with a surprise look at Uncharted 4 gameplay the trouble is this surprise seemed to shock Nathan Drake himself as at the beginning of the game play he wouldn’t move which meant the segment had to be restarted i mean it’s unfortunate but these things happen especially in a live setting well when you reach that part of the game in the full release of Uncharted 4 if you had Nathan stand there for around a minute or so you would unlock the stage fright trophy which is a reference to that E3 2015 showcase which I think is pretty funny now sometimes a video game trailer can act almost like a prologue for the game it’s meant to promote i actually don’t mind this and if done right it’s a nice way to reward trailer watching fans take the Runboy Run trailer from Dying Light One for example here we get to see what happened in Haran before Crane’s arrival and it ends with Breen getting knocked out with a cricket bat just before he’s about to secure a supply drop fast forward to the events of the game and when you finally come face to face with Breen he’s wearing a bandage thanks to his onetoone with the cricket bat i’m not sure if it’s ever explained in game why Breen is wearing this bandage but for everyone who watched the trailer they already knew speaking of Dying Light up next is Dying Light 2 with another clever nod to one of their own trailers i mean you shouldn’t be surprised it’s what this video is all about anyway at this location on the map you can find this again it’s dead bodies in a game full of dead bodies and again there is a reason for these particular dead bodies you see in the cinematic trailer for Dying Light 2 we saw a desperate dad trying to avoid various run-ins with the undead to make it back to his daughter along the way he also bumped into two ladies and by bumped into I mean he stole the only thing keeping the zombies at bay now that explains the two bodies found in the apartment those are the women from the trailer well in a last ditch attempt to flee from the zombies the man then launches himself out of the window before crashing to the floor and that’s where you can find him in game oh and as the man is falling to the floor he’s actually scratched by a zombie something which can also be seen in game which is a really nice touch well being scratched is actually the complete opposite of a nice touch but you get what I mean now this next trailer referencing Easter egg leaves me with more questions than answers so I’d like to know what you think in the Run for Your Life trailer for Hitman Absolution you join 47 as he tries to escape from the police after being framed for murder which when you think about it is kind of funny anyway to do this 47 makes his way through an apartment building full of the police all the while slightly tipping his hat so that nobody knows who he is in the actual game if you manage to sneak your way past the many many police officers or do what I do and just shoot them all you can call the lift and make it downstairs job done well in the elevator is a missing poster for this strange looking man and at first you might think that this doesn’t mean anything but I’m here to tell you that it does you see in that Run for Your Life trailer when 47 enters the lift he’s greeted by this man you’re going down wow exciting evening huh lots of heavy stuff going down heard it’s all about one man you must be a dangerous son of a [ย __ย ] don’t know how you guys do it i’ll be [ย __ย ] myself it’s good to know you guys are here to protect and to serve yes sir much appreciated good luck on finding him officer i mean I don’t know why he sounds like a chimney sweep from the 1800s or why he was cut from the game but I’m guessing he left a lasting impression on some fans hence the inclusion of the missing poster in the game to at least acknowledge his existence next up is Arkham Origins with a cool yet annoying trailer referencing Easter egg if you head to Pioneers Bridge you can find this so much like dead people in a zombie game a gun in Gotham City shouldn’t be that surprising if we take a closer look at the gun we can see three bullet casings next to it which would seem to indicate that whoever left the gun here fired three shots well if we watch the official Batman Arkham Origins trailer we can see Batman fighting Deathstroke though their little scuffle is soon interrupted by a sniper [Music] not so fast Deathstroke he’s my kill so all the way from Pioneers Bridge Deadshot fires two warning shots at Deathstroke because he wants to claim the bounty on Batman’s head that’s shot number one and shot number two after some more fighting Deadshot fires again and that was the third shot so this abandoned gun actually belonged to Deadshot who seemingly left in a hurry after thinking that he had just killed Batman now this is obviously really cool but it’s also really annoying that the gun model in game doesn’t match the gun model used in the trailer but what can you do oh and Arkham Origins isn’t the only Arkham game to reference a trailer at the processing center in Arkham City you can find this guy failure to surrender will be met with extreme force followed by a level 9 and 10 Thank you so this is one of Hugo Strange’s tiger guards who was seemingly tortured until he died the question is who would be able to torture one of Hugo Strange’s guards right under his nose why Hugo Strange of course you see this is actually the same guard featured in the Hugo Strange trailer for Arkham City where Strange could be seen torturing the poor guard i’ve said before that finding trailer referencing Easter eggs in Arkham Origins and Arkham City leads me to believe that there might be more trailer references in other Arkham games it does leave me wondering if any can be found in Arkham Asylum or Arkham Knight see I did say that so if you think that you found something in any of the other Arkham games then please let me know now a big reason that I try to avoid game trailers is because they can spoil cool parts of a game when I sit down to play something I don’t want to know what’s coming next but sometimes developers will trick you into thinking you know what’s coming thanks to a trailer only to pull a fast one and change things up take God of War 2016 for example as you cross this bridge nothing happens and I could have sworn something should have happened anyway when underneath the bridge you can fight a group of wolves and after defeating them Atreaus will say this i half expected to be a troll into that bridge you are not ready for trolls boy i know i just So Atraus will say that he expected a troll to be under the bridge which given this is God of War I half expected too well that line of dialogue is actually a reference to the 2016 E3 trailer where a troll was indeed under the bridge now I don’t know about you but I think that’s pretty clever the final trailer referencing Easter egg can be found in The Witcher 3 and it’s hilarious geralt is a serious man though he does have a sense of humor and luckily he’s able to laugh at himself in the Killing Monsters trailer Geralt helps out an innocent lady who is being roughed up by a group of men geralt tells the lady to close her eyes before doing this close your eyes hit him okay so that was pretty cool here’s the thing when asked what he’s doing Geralt will say he’s killing monsters which to me at least is kind of corny what what what are you doing killing monsters well during the final trial quest with Lambert if you tell Lambert to drop the tough guy act he will bring up that same corny line don’t know who you’re trying to impress tough guy stuff’s just not working on me huh look who’s talking vzameir told me about that job you did for those nilf guardians in Villain what what are you doing killing monsters good one just came out that way i love you all for watching and I’ll speak to you all soon
