So, Fortnite, as many of you probably heard, uh, won the lawsuit versus Apple, and Fortnite is now back officially on the iOS App Store. So, if you have an iPhone, you can play Fortnite on it again, as long as you are in the US. Apparently, it’s not up in Canada or the UK yet, but it should be up there uh eventually. Um, and to celebrate, Epic Games is offering a free unlockable skin uh called Burn Off. Not Burn Out, but Burn Off. And uh you basically get the skin for free just by signing in on a phone uh into Fortnite. So, it doesn’t even have to be Apple. Apparently, you can do this on Android as well. So, if you have an Apple phone or an Android phone, download Fortnite, log in, and you will get a free skin. Um, I don’t think they grant it immediately. I think it’s going to be a few days before you get it for free in your locker, but I made sure to uh, you know, sign in just to get that skin. So, hopefully I get it soon. Uh, additionally, Fortnite had a kind of mini update this week which added a couple of items to the map. Um, so we have a jetpack that has been unvaulted. So, yes, the Mandalorian jetpack is back. Really, really awesome movement. I kind of wish it was part of the game since the beginning of the season, but uh still really nice to see that uh they brought back the kind of Mandalorian sniper rifle that does crazy damage if you are good with it. Uh it’s probably the best weapon to use. And um we have the pistols which are kind of like the dual wielding uh like pistols and they are a little bit tricky to use but if you know how to use them while you’re flying around you can do some serious damage. So uh yeah that has all been added to the game and uh Fortnite’s doing pretty good right now after the recent kind of uh little update. Um, they also added a new kind of Mandalorian customizable skin to the item shop and uh, it is one of the best Star Wars skins in terms of customization. Uh, there are so many options to choose from. You can create your own custom like Mandalorian and it’s it’s really really good. So, uh, it would be nice if they kind of do this with other skins in the future. Like it would be awesome if we get like just a clone trooper skin that allows us to customize it in different ways possibly, you know? Uh I would love to see that. Uh next, speaking of clone troopers and Star Wars in general, well, this past week has been enormous for Star Wars Battlefront 2. So th this kind of started out of nowhere. Basically, the Star Wars community rallied together to bring back Battlefront 2. Yes, Battlefront 2, a game that came out a while ago. Um, let’s just say didn’t have a lot of players on the online servers recently, but after a number of streamers kind of called their community to all start playing the game and to spam everywhere on the internet, uh, it has taken the internet by storm. So whether you’re on YouTube or Tik Tok or, you know, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, chances are you’ve seen people saying Battlefront 3 this week. And it’s basically like a huge kind of online community petition to EA to please make Battlefront 3. And the way they are doing this is by spamming Battlefront 3 on the comment sections of about just every video possible. But the Star Wars community is also downloading Star Wars Battlefront 2 and going online to play. And the servers had their highest player count in years. Like right now, like this last week, has had the highest amount of players like on the Steam charts for Battlefront 2 and stuff since the game launched basically. So hopefully I’m hoping EA kind of notices this and announces a new Battlefront because I I would love a new just Star Wars Battlefront game. Give me Star Wars Battlefront 3, please. I need it. And it would be awesome to see them, you know, kind of make a brand new game for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Even the Nintendo Switch, uh, too, you know. So hopefully the Star Wars community, you know, uh, rallying goal is reached and EA finally, uh, realizes what’s going on because they have not said anything yet. So, uh, hopefully eventually they have to, uh, release a statement or something. That would be great. Um, next we got some news about um, Marathon. Oh my goodness, this is incredible. Very, very bad news, but this is crazy. So, uh, Marathon is Bungie’s next big game, and it was set to come out in just a few months. Well, apparently, like a ton of the artwork from this game was stolen from an artist that has nothing to do with Bungie. it. This person just, you know, created artwork and released it online and then Marathon developers followed this person on Twitter and decided to steal like her artwork and uh they did not credit, they did not ask for permission. They just straight up like stole artwork, put it into their video game, and then didn’t pay the artist. So, in the last like week, this artist discovered their artwork in Marathon, like trailers and stuff, and they were very confused, like, “Wait a second, this looks exactly like the artwork I put online that I created.” So, they confronted uh Bungie, they talked to a bunch of like news journalists, and it it went viral in the gaming community. Like, everybody’s talking about this. It got so bad that the like actual creator of Marathon and the developers had to go on live stream and basically like say, “Hey, uh, yeah, we’re sorry. This this is like a bad situation. We actually did steal the artwork and the entire time the chat was just roasting them like, “Oh, you guys took years to make a game with stolen artwork. You stole artwork. you better pay the artist the you know the amount of money that you stole from them from this artwork and people are just like really really you know just tearing uh the Marathon developers apart right now and it’s it’s a really bad situation like um there have been you know uh interviews apparently with actual development staff from Bungie’s like marathon team and they’ve gone on record to say that the company’s like morale right now is like really really bad. Like everyone is extremely sad and worried about the future of this game. So this is not good because by stealing from this artist basically if they want to sue and you know discontinue this game they actually have the power to do that because having like 50% or 60% of the game’s artwork stolen puts into consideration a ton of different things. Like who says maybe just the art is stolen? Like maybe maybe other things in the game are stolen from other places. So there has to be like an investigation internally at Bungie. Um they already hired apparently like investigators to try to find out the employee that actually stole this artwork from this artist. And there there’s so much going on right now. So um yeah, Marathon is not looking good right now. And honestly, I feel kind of bad for Bungie cuz this was supposed to be their big kind of new game. And it seems like they can’t catch a break right now. So, I honestly I would love to see this artist um you know, either hired by Bungie or I would like to see them get like a big paycheck like, “Hey, we’re sorry we stole your artwork. Here’s a big paycheck. Please don’t sue us.” You know, something like that would be nice. But uh yeah uh definitely want to hear more about this story. So I’ll I’ll talk about it more as it gets updated on the channel. Uh next we got some news about Call of Duty War Zone, specifically the mobile phone version. So Activision and Xbox apparently had a conversation and they decided that they are going to abandon the war zone version that is on phones. So the reason for this is I guess Xbox like you know higherups had a conversation with Activision and they said they were not happy with the numbers that War Zone is doing on mobile. Um, apparently the game not only requires you to have like a pretty powerful phone in order to play it correctly, but it just doesn’t have enough people playing the game, which means they actually spend more money trying to update and, you know, have the servers online than they actually make back from people on the mobile version of War Zone. So, they’re like, you know what, just cut this version. Let’s focus on, you know, War Zone on PC and on console. So, uh, I understand why they’re doing that, but yeah, it seems like some of the Call of Duty community is kind of annoyed by this because people did buy skins and, you know, credits and things and apparently they have uh just a few months to spend that before the servers kind of um don’t go down necessarily, but before the servers don’t allow you to spend your money anymore. So you have like a fixed date to spend your credits um and kind of like transfer your account over to another version of War Zone. So uh and it’s going to get delisted from the you know app store and the Android you know Google Play Store. So uh if you want to play Call of Duty War Zone, download it right now because it might not be up on mobile for uh you know for a while after uh after it gets removed. So, uh, yeah, kind of kind of a strange piece of news, but yeah, I I understand that War Zone, you know, mostly is played on PC, on Xbox, and on PlayStation. So, if they if they think that the mobile version is not doing as well, then I think I I think it’s worth, you know, shutting down. Now, the regular version of Call of Duty Mobile apparently is doing extremely well, and that version is going to stay up. Uh, Call of Duty Mobile is completely separate from War Zone and has nothing to do with War Zone actually. So, apparently that is the version that they’re going to focus on uh for phones going forward. So, they’re just going to keep doing more Call of Duty Mobile updates. Um, let’s see. Next, we have uh we have uh some news that apparently Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be getting a sequel, which apparently is going to take place in Night City, but it will also have a second city, which is possibly going to be based on Chicago. So, that’s actually awesome. Um I would love to see that. Uh, Cyberpunk apparently has been getting more and more popular as the years go on. So, the game had kind of a rocky launch, but it has a huge fan base right now. So, if they do make a sequel, like they’re saying, uh, I would love more areas like that. So, seems like uh they are already brainstorming on where they can take the story. So, that is great. Uh Nintendo this week revealed that Mario Kart World was originally in development for the Nintendo Switch one. So when the Switch came out, they were working on Mario Kart World, and they were intending that version to maybe come out on the Switch. But what happened was Mario Kart 8 Deluxe came out, sold extremely well, and then Nintendo realized that Mario Kart World was too ambitious, uh, took up too much space, required a lot like more power to run properly. So, they decided to kind of continue developing it and save it for the Switch 2. So, uh, that is why we had basically Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for a very long time, and that was the only Mario Kart. So, it’s actually nice to finally get that, uh, that story from Nintendo. Uh, Ubisoft apparently is working on a new AAA Rayman game. So, this is a big budget Rayman game. Uh Rayman, for those that don’t know, before Assassin’s Creed, before Prince of Persia, Rayman was basically the mascot for Ubisoft. And as the years went on, it kind of moved into Prince of Persia and Assassin’s Creed being the most popular game in their studio. But right now, after all the problems that Ubisoft is having, it seems like the higherups at the company kind of want to take back the classic roots of Ubisoft and bring it back to Rayman. So, we might get an amazing kind of highbudget Rayman game in the future. So, definitely excited for that. Uh, we just got a a new announcement for a remastered version of Warhammer 40k Space Marine. Uh, this is like a full-on remastered version called the mastercrafted edition. And this is based on the Xbox 360 and PS3 game that came out in like I forget. I want to say like 2012 I think some some sometime around that. um is when the first Space Marine game came out. And uh yeah, this is basically a remaster after Space Marine 2 did so well last year. They basically, you know, decided to remaster the original game um with better graphics for modern consoles. So people that played the second game can now play the first game. So that is great. Uh apparently there is a rumor that Jason Mimoa and Roman Reigns are going to star in a Street Fighter movie. So, yeah, looks like a Street Fighter movie might be happening at some point. I wonder who Jason Mamoa is going to play in the movie. Uh Roman Reigns definitely. Uh I can see him as a few Street Fighter characters. So, yeah, hopefully we we learn more about this soon. I wonder if uh Chun Lee is going to be in the movie. Next, we have uh some news about Elden Ring as well. So, an Elden Ring liveaction movie has been announced. Apparently, A24, the famous kind of film production studio company, is going to be behind this movie. So, uh wow. Uh honestly, I I wonder how good this is going to be because like Elden Ring has a crazy story. Uh wow. I just want to see how this how this turns out. So, best of luck to the actors and directors that are going to be working on this liveaction Elden Ring movie. I wonder if it’s going to focus on other like character story, if it’s going to be a prequel maybe to the main game, possibly. I don’t know. And uh looks like Bioshock is going to be getting a remake. So, um, yeah, this has been rumored for a while now, but yeah, it looks like they really want to bring back Bioshock, and they’re planning on either remastering or remaking the original title and possibly the later games for a modern audience. So, if you’ve never played Bioshock, chances are you are going to get to play this game in 4K very, very soon. So, that’s great. And, uh, I think that’s all the big and important news this week.
