the billionaires are fighting the Nintendo Switch 2 is weird in a good way and the developer season is finally over this is your week in tech news so hey that thing everybody predicted would happen finally happened elon Musk and Trump had a public breakup in the way that only two billionaires can each on their own personal social media platform that they own Truth Social and X musk has since deleted some of his messages including one that stated Trump is in the Epstein files and in a message he posted on X at just past 3:00 a.m on Wednesday he says that he regrets some of the posts that he made about the president and you know I regret not having more time to post online like these two i guess I need a less demanding job like CEO or president this is a bad idea i’m so out of breath and I’m going uphill in other news the Nintendo Switch 2 came out and I’m here to report that it is fun we put up a video where my co-workers tried out its game chat feature with various non- Nintendo webcams to see what works here I have it hooked up to a Sony FX9 cuz why the hell not any camera you use will still be kind of janky looking but it made for some fun testing also WWDC Apple’s developer conference was this week and the crowd went mild folks were anticipating a lot of AI announcements that might rival Google’s but instead got a lot of UI redesigns like Liquid Glass a semi-transparent design that Windows Vista even threw a little shade at and oh the iPad got a couple updates like windowing that makes it a lot more like Mac OS finally finally on a more serious note anti- ice protests in California and across the US have been underway and will continue this weekend for those looking to attend protests we have an article on the verge.com that we took out from behind a payw wall with tips and best practices on how to maintain your phone’s data security and privacy in the event of an arrest it’s been another busy news week so to check out the rest of tech news check out the verge.com for all of that and uh I don’t know play some Mario Kart have a good weekend
