hello everyone and as expected no Halo at the Microsoft Game Showcase today we’re going to talk about what it means for the game the franchise and the future really I just wanted to have a chitchat about things and give some information regarding when we’ll potentially see more official Halo games last week I literally made a video about a major Halo announcement at this year’s World Championships as there was rumors from Mr rebs I felt it was important to mention that to set expectations there’s a real chance this October that a new game could be revealed at Worlds but Hidden Experia Luke made a really good point on whether that’s the correct decision the Halo World Championships are awesome if you’re a Halo fan whether you’re there in person or watching online there’s lots of panels cosplay cool stuff if you’re a fan and it’s always a great time for the community but is it the best time to announce a new game yes all eyes will be on Halo and yes there’ll be little to no competition but after watching the Xbox presentation last night I’ve got to say that would have been a better time to announce it nothing really wowed me at the Xbox showcase last night gears of War Reloaded was really the only thing I liked there’s a open beta for the new Gears of War remaster this weekend so expect a Gears of War video in saying that Halo would have stolen the show if it was showcased not only does the Xbox Game Showcase have 10 times the population that the World Championships get but a lot of Halo’s viewership during the regular matches are people who are there for the drops so they aren’t necessarily watching 24/7 at the showcase however everyone has their full attention plus the larger population on top of that with there being little to nothing there was a huge breakout hit this year there was a new Call of Duty but me a little bit of Halo wouldn’t have been the worst in saying that Mr reb said “This October we very well may get a reveal my bet is the Halo Combat Evolve remake launching in 2026 even IGN put out a Halo Combat Evolve remake 2026.” So this brings us to the Hopium Copium section of the video phil Spencer who I must say is looking very slim with people in the chat screaming he’s on OMI in any case he looks healthier so good for him phil Spencer said “2026 is going to be a massive year for Xbox it’s the 25th anniversary of the device and to celebrate it fans will be getting a new Fable game Gears of War Eday a new Fortza Racing title and the return of a classic that’s been with them since the beginning players will get to celebrate 25 years of Xbox with a new Fable the next Fortza Gears of War Eday and the return of a classic that’s been with us since the beginning now if you look at the list of titles that have been with them since the beginning that can only mean Halo especially if it’s all hush hush and it’s hyped up last the big important thing and this may surprise a lot of you Call of Duty Black Ops 7 was announced and even with that announcement Halo was still only 700 tweets behind Call of Duty as a topic on social media that is how much people are wanting to see Halo that they are craving a new Halo game even audiences outside of the core Halo fan base are becoming really hungry for a new game it seems like on the whole it’s going to be a massive year for Xbox gears of War Eday looks awesome it sucks we didn’t see anything for that either fable is going to allow me to relive my childhood again that wasn’t shown and then we’ll have a new Halo game for the first time in 5 years as a quick side note yes Fortza will release as well apparently Fortza is really really popular so even that will be a great release for Xbox if Halo Studios nails the next release the first of the games of the new Unreal Engine era and that’s a big if it could do really really well for the franchise overall the closest example I could possibly give is the Doom Resurgence that trilogy of new games are fantastic and Halo could have a similar circumstance if you ask my honest opinion about the future of Halo I think first of all Halo Infinite will be supported until the first Unreal game release then it’ll taper off halo MCC is done i don’t see anything outside of the modding community coming out especially nothing from the developer side in terms of the Unreal Halo game the Combat Evolve remake we very well may get a reveal this October a trailer in the following June for the next showcase and a release in November of 2026 for Xbox and Halo’s 25th anniversary the good news with all of this and it is the silver lining is that we’re almost through the dry patch for Halo the reason I say that is in the next year to say 15 months we’ll hear about the new Halo games there’s multiple confirmed projects so we won’t have to wait as long in between games and this time once the marketing cycle ramps up we’ll be eating good for at least a couple years i know on the whole it’s disappointing i’m disappointed too but I read comments like “Yep that’s it halo’s dead.” It’s just simply not true in fact I feel the closer we get to the new games releasing Microsoft will really start to push heavy resources behind the new Halo project especially in terms of marketing to mark the new era and the change in game engine if you were curious to know what Halo projects are currently in the works number one is the Halo Combat Evolve remake not a remaster that’s very important it’s made from the ground up it is not a remaster of the original game the leaks say this will be loosely based on Combat Evolved the first game but the overarching story may have a different start and end point i saw a lot of people saying “Oh my god why no Halo 3?” They’ll get to it starting with Combat Evolved it would not surprise me if the entire story of Halo is retold it also gives them practice before they get to Halo 3 to learn the Unreal game engine personally I’m very excited to see the new generation of Flood the grotesque horror that almost conquered the entire galaxy second is the certain affinity project that we have very little details on rumors are a multiplayeron project to be the nextg Halo multiplayer this will mean that it will be a multiplayer that is consistently updated over time new modes new maps new content will get added and it will be a definitive Halo multiplayer experience on the Unreal Engine there was rumors this project was the battle royale it then turned into an extraction shooter nowadays nobody knows what this project is will it come out will it get cancelled it is anybody’s guess all I’ll say about this is Halo is such an awesome franchise that any game mode any genre any style will excel just because Halo is so diverse i’m excited to see what this game is third is the Halo Infinite campaign sequel we know there’s multiple Halo lead developers on different projects now but what we don’t know is where the story is going to pick up with the announcement of the new Halo book being the direct sequel to Halo Infinite story I’m sure we’ll get a new game in universe for Chief the weapon and Esparta what I will say is I hope it’s not a jarring jump in time like Halo 4 to Halo 5 and then Halo 5 to Halo Infinite i would love to see Arbiter and Master Chief teaming up again i’d also like to see what happened to the Infinity Lock and more information on Atriox and the Endless in the meantime the Halo community themselves will be carrying in terms of community creations we’ve got a brand new update coming out for classic Halo and Halo Infinite as well as Halo Studios announcing the return of the higher booster helmet the new update goes live June the 10th and it’s actually going to be free to earn that’s right you don’t have to pay anything for the higher booster helmet i’m pretty sure it’s going to be a full set of armor and I’ve always said give the players more stuff to earn i hated that everything was a microtransaction so alongside the haunted Halo Reach max rank helmet the higher booster armor will be there too there’s actually a preload 11 GB update that rolled out today which is very very odd for a mid-season update typically this doesn’t happen so I wonder if new content is being added i also think Halo Infinite will continue to see new sandbox items every 3 months and then we have Halo 5 Guardians 10th anniversary and I’m sure there’ll be tie-ins on Halo Infinite for that too very quick side note I’m tempted to do a Halo 5 Guardians campaign video for the hell of it to see how poorly it has aged figured it might be fun so let me know if you want me to suffer through it now as I am editing this video so I’m re-recording this very quickly grunt.api a known API leaker so he sees what’s happening behind the scenes he has officially confirmed Halo on PlayStation so make this the fourth and final thing I’ll talk about halo on PlayStation is basically confirmed he hasn’t said what game it’s going to be so this is an evolving situation i’m giving you guys the scoop he did say though it wasn’t Halo MCC my guess is Halo Infinite we’ll see what happens but he wouldn’t make this claim unless he was definitely sure the last thing I’d like to say is this year has already gone very fast it felt like January just a little while ago it’s already June it won’t be long before we’re already at Christmas and by then the next Halo game will be less than a year away hopefully this frames things in a way that feels a little bit more hopeful for the future instead of just going off the deep end and going full doom and gloom there is stuff on the horizon and I know we’re all collectively frustrated that it isn’t here yet but as others have said this will be the last showcase without Halo for some time i’m excited to see what happens next and that’s it i saw other creators talking about their thoughts on Halo so I figured I’d just weigh in mine new Halo Infinite update with Halo 3’s art style will
