Okay, so today we have to talk about a lot of Nintendo Switch 2 game focus news that recently appeared because we actually do have listings for just about I would consider to be most of the launch lineup at this point in time. Some games within that kind of launch window, first couple months, but most of the games that you can go pre-order right now are actually going to be available at the launch of the console. And we have not only some brand new games that we haven’t talked about or seen before in terms of their details, uh, but we actually also have pricing for all of these games, which is a very interesting topic of conversation by itself because it appears that not only is Nintendo doing variable pricing this console generation, but so are third parties because we have a wide range of price points to discuss today. Many of them on the better news side of things, at least I would consider it to be. uh albeit with some big drawbacks of course for physical collectors out there. Not an acrosstheboard sweep of game key cards, but there are a lot uh there. It is going to be a prevalent choice for third party devs and publishers rather. It’s really up to the publisher on that stuff uh to choose that route because obviously it’s maximum profit. But in this video, I want to walk through everything new that we learned and really have a broad breakdown conversation of where you should be expecting most Nintendo Switch 2 games to land in terms of price point. Uh, and really what to expect to be able to pre-order right now if you’re somebody who’s already secured your pre-order for the console or if you just want to actually pat out your own game library ahead of time leading into this Nintendo Switch 2 launch, even if you don’t have the console pre-ordered for yourself or a loved one just yet. But we’ll get on the same page with all of this info. Before we do, make sure you like, subscribe, and turn on your bell notification to join Sun Nation if you’re new here. And I want to kick it off right over at Best Buy where we have a ton of new listings. A lot of these, obviously, you’re seeing at the top uh right out of the gate with the Mario Kart World pricing, $79.99. We’ve known about that for a long time. That’s the price on the eShop and the physical cartridge. Donkey Kong Bonanza coming in at $69.99. Let’s hope that most single player big Nintendo firstp partyy games will remain at that $69.99 price, but something tells me that when we see the next 3D Mario and 3D Zelda game in this console generation, we’re going to be staring at that $79.99 price. But Doug Bowser did talk about variable pricing. Uh, however, it does appear that a lot of the partner games uh will also be variable priced. Now, the good news is a Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition, which if you compare the Cyberpunk 2077 on other platforms, Steam and stuff, and what it’s being sold for currently, that’s actually not a bad price to pick this up at. And for me, the added benefit of being able to play it on the go or docked, uh, that does add in some value to that price point. And this is actually a game that I personally picked up via pre-order that I will be grabbing physically because we also don’t have to worry about that digital game key card situation. Uh, yes, the developers over at CD Project Red and Cyberpunk team, they did decide to go with the 64 GB cartridge and actually load the entire game onto that cartridge. There’s no internet download required, which is a big deal for me. That’s probably the only way I’m purchasing physical games this generation, which is crazy. But key cards, I’m not I’m not all about them. So, $69.99 for that. We did know that price point for a little while. Breath of the Wild, uh, there is some controversy and rightfully so, around this game. This is the upgraded version. Uh, one, it was launched in 2017, uh, right at the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 or the Nintendo Switch rather. But also, this game doesn’t come with the DLC baked in at a $70 price point. Meaning, uh, you throw an extra 20 bucks on there for the DLC, you’re at $90 now for the complete experience of Breath of the Wild. Nintendo really should have packed in the DLC. No excuses, but it is what it is. If you don’t own Tears of the Kingdom, of course, that is sitting at a $79.99 price point for the Switch to upgraded edition, which I will just be playing the upgraded edition myself through uh the upgrade pack that comes with the NSO expansion pack membership. So, Street Fighter 6, this will be a big one that a lot of people will pick up. I will probably check it out digitally at some point. It is $59.99. there is a physical game key card that will be sold for this game. So, I’m going to skip on that myself. That’s how I’m making my decisions. I’ve pretty much come to that conclusion now. But $60 for a game like Street Fighter uh six, I think, is a nice thing to see. And it’s not, you know, a stretch compared to uh outside of sales what it’s being sold for on other consoles or anything like that. There’s not like an extra Nintendo tax that’s being thrown onto a lot of these games, which is good to see. Uh Super Mario Party Jamberee. Now, of course, this is a $79.99 price point, and as we talked about with the upgrade pack pricing, it seems like the rule of thumb from Nintendo so far, from what we can tell, is if there’s additional DLC content baked in there, they’re throwing an extra 20 bucks on whatever the game costs currently. So, Super Mario Party Jamberee currently costs $60, you’re getting Jambburye TV, which is new mini games, and all of the camera stuff that’s baked in there. That’s extra $20 worth of content separately. So, you get the pack-in price together all on one cartridge for $79.99. Not the nice thing is it has been confirmed that all of the content from these upgraded editions seems to be on the cartridge. So, that is at least good. It’s not something where you’re getting a download code inside of the case with just like a regular Switch One cartridge like it was worried about once upon a time. Uh, that is not the case with these games. But of course, higher price point, but I don’t really have a problem with that $20 upgrade fee if it’s getting new DLC content. And then when it’s just a visual upgrade like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, if you want to purchase those standoff, it is $10. And a lot of third parties are actually following that same $10 rule, which is good. Outside of Sega, which we will get to in a moment. Run Factory: Guardians of Iuma, which in the US is confirmed to be on the cartridge, which is obviously great news for physical collectors. This is one that I’ll have to look into. I’m not sure if I’m going to pick it up or not, but $70. I probably won’t get it right at launch or anything like that, but I do think that this is one that as reviews come out and things like that, I may look into a little bit further. Uh because of course it’s exciting when you get a new console to check out as many new games on it as possible. We have also known the pricing of Kirby for a while, but $79.99 for that as well. Again, same situation. $60 game currently, $20 upgrade pack baked in to one cartridge. If you haven’t picked up this game yet, uh it might be a good opportunity to do it physically. But for me, I bought this game physically. I’m just going to do that $20 upgrade pack to check out the new content. One of the new games that we didn’t have previous information on was actually Hitman World of Assassination uh signature edition for Switch 2, and we saw the trailer for it and everything at the Nintendo Switch 2 presentation. Uh but we now have conf confirmation on the pricing at $59.99. So again, not crazy 70 $80 games that we’ve seen from uh developers, publishers so far. We do have this um DamonX Machina also confirmed for a full on the cartridge experience. This is the limited edition Titanic uh Scion edition, which I’m not too familiar with Damon X Machina. Don’t know exactly what you get extra with that, but $99.99 is a steep price, but how many times do you see a and I’m assuming it’s all of this? Yeah. So, you have uh basically like an art book, you have a CD, you know, some some keychain type accessories. Uh, and the standard edition uh does come in at the $70 retail price like a lot of brand new uh you know, first party and third party games will probably be sold at when they’re AAA titles. Um, you have no sleep for uh Canam or Caname, however you say that date. Uh, the AI somu files. Why do you name your game something so complicated, you know? Okay, we’ll we’ll we’ll move on past that. 50 bucks. Not a game that I’m probably going to take a second look at. We didn’t even have to click on Damon X Machina. It’s right here again. Story of Seasons is actually getting uh a and I don’t think it’s listed beneath it. No, it’s not. Story of Seasons is getting a full on uh on cartridge experience as well. This is once again one of those special edition packs, but if you do look at the base game price, which is what you would care about if you’re interested in it, it’s $59.99. I think this one doesn’t come out right at launch, but a little bit after it. Um, so any yeah, August 27th for it. So, you know, we’re looking at some games that are going to be available right now. Other games that will be there, you know, a month or two after in a lot of these cases. Madden being one of those two that we just got confirmation from recently. Madden 26 is coming day and date to Nintendo Switch 2 for 70 bucks. We have yet to see if there’s any noticeable visual differences or, you know, frame rate reductions from the other versions. I’m assuming some minor sacrifices will be made, but probably however it runs on the Series S and docked mode will be very similar to what the kind of experiences that you will get with it on the Switch 2, but you have the ability to take it handheld. And I’m sure you’ll be getting DLSS and things like that, you know, factored in there to make it happen. But Madden fans can be uh enjoying their content now on Nintendo Switch 2 if they so choose, which is cool. Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remastered for the Switch 2, which is a game key card, is $39.99. So, we’re having really a lot of price points at that $60, some 70, some 50, and then some even as low as 40. Uh, which is, you know, we like the $40 price point. Absolutely. Digital edition of um the upgrade packs are being sold at Best Buy. I would just get those through the eShop. Why do you want to own a cardboard cutout that has the, you know, code on it? I don’t know. If you want that, you can buy it through Best Buy. They probably just email it to you anyway. I’m not even sure if you even get a physical card. Um, a Yakuza Zero Director’s Cut is 50 bucks. So, again, another one of the better price points, I would say, physical collectors. It is a a key card situation. So, you know, not saying like you can resell key cards. They’re not the end of the world, but it’s just like if you’re going to have to log into uh an online server to download your content onto the system on a game, it really does take away some of the appeal from physical. Not to mention, I saw some comments in yesterday’s video which really do make you think twice. All those games have to go onto your actual memory. So, uh, yeah, get the SD card orders ready. The micro SD card expresses, uh, that’s going to be, you know, actually having to sit on your physical console storage instead of the enhancement or the bonus of them being on a physical cartridge where it’s just reading the game’s data off that cartridge. So, your your Switch 2 is probably going to fill up a lot quicker from a memory perspective than what Switch One was. Radu Remastered, the Mystery of the Soulless Army. Uh, that is a $50 game. That is a physical or excuse me, yeah, physical game key card for the Nintendo Switch 2. right around launch time. Uh Story of Seasons again that we already talked about that uh Sega is really doing the non-consumerfriendly thing this time around when it comes to their games. Unfortunately, Sonic X Shadow Generations is a Nintendo Switch 1 game. It has a Nintendo Switch 2 version available. It’s 50 bucks. Not a bad price point if you didn’t already buy the game for that on Nintendo Switch One. The unfortunate news from Sega is that they have confirmed one, not only is this a physical game key card, so they’re doing that. Uh, but also uh you have to buy this for the Switch 2 version if you want the enhancements. There is no $10 upgrade pack. There’s nothing available for anybody who purchased this game on the Switch one to upgrade it to a Switch 2 version. That very unfortunate news from Sega. I feel like Sega’s that’s one of those things that when you know every other developer and publisher are doing things like that and they’re just choosing not to. Not Not a good look. So, I do hope that that’s not like across the board with every Sega and Sonic game that’s on the Switch because if it is getting a upgraded version, I own all the Sonic games on Nintendo Switch One already. It’s It’s going to be an issue for me, but I digress. Um, you have another uh, you know, these digital ones are funny and I still can’t what I started laughing here is welcome tour is 10 bucks if you can believe that. It should have been a pack in or at least throw it, you know, on NSO expansion pack. I wouldn’t be opposed to that either. Uh, but nonetheless, you can buy the the digital code for it for 10 bucks by itself. You can obviously buy that off the eShop. That’s how I will check it out. I hope there’s enough, you know, fun little to get an hour or two fun out of it. 10 bucks, no big deal. I just want to see what all is in there. But, um, not really something that I’m like absolutely counting down the minutes to or anything like that. Uh, Fast Fusion on Nintendo Switch 2 will be $14.99 and I think that’s coming out at or around launch as well. Um, yeah, of course, the release date’s right there. So, that’s June 5th. Um, that one’s going to be cool to watch for like F-Zero fans. It literally looks like a better visually looking modern-day F-Zero super fast racer, but great looking visuals for 15 bucks. I I would definitely look into it. Survival Kids is $50. Um, not familiar with this one at all. And it is digital listing only. Uh, the Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S $39.99. So, another $40 game, which I would expect for a, you know, a game of this caliber. Uh, and this is the digital listing. I think we’re getting a physical version of that as well, but it could be one of those that I I believe that that’s going to be a game key card as well. Uh, yes. And then here it is. And it is a game key card, but 40 bucks you can pick it up at least with the cartridge, so you can resell it or trade it in if you wanted to. A lot of it from there just goes all digital and it’s repeat listings. But we now have a pretty clear look at a lot of the launch time lineup, let’s say, of games for Nintendo Switch 2, which is a nice thing to get details on. And it’s cool to see, not like a lot of the big AAA third-p partyy titles necessarily trying to copy Nintendo and going at that $80 price point. I do think Nintendo knows that Mario Kart can sell that, but maybe not everything can sell at that. So, you know, hopefully the third party publishers don’t just jump ship and follow behind at that $80 price point for most of their big releases from here. But, of course, we’ll have to wait and see. But so far, the pricing situation as a whole, not talking about first-p partyy Nintendo, doesn’t seem to be uh quite as alarming as it once looked when we were first getting this information. So, let me know in the comments down below if you’re planning on pre-ordering any Nintendo Switch 2 games from this list, or maybe some games that weren’t featured on here, but that you know are announced and coming down the road. I mean, as soon as we get the Elden Ring release date, I’m double dipping on that game and picking it up for the Nintendo Switch. I I think it’s a game key card according to Play Asia. So, I will unfortunately be uh buying that digitally, but nonetheless, I do want to have that experience uh able to be playable on the go. So, I will be picking that up. But, what are you most excited for as we get closer to the Switch 2 launch date? And what’s your take on the pricing of the games and this whole game key card situation as we find out more games that will choose that format or not? So, make sure you share all your thoughts and feelings in the comments down below before you leave, regardless if we agree or disagree. Also, make sure you like, subscribe, turn on your notification bell. And with that, I’ve been Sunbro Youth Nation.
