so The Sims 4 got an unexpected base game update today and this is in relation to the upcoming Sims 4 event I forgot what it’s officially called so I’m going to have to double check but basically it’s just like an insignificant update leading up to the event which will be tomorrow But we also have a teaser for Fairies which I know you’re all here for So let’s check this out together We’re watching it for the first time So this is by the way a 40 second long trailer So there’s not that much but we get another view of fairies I just want to say this lady here the one who’s green She is mother nature in the game by the way So that’s something new I’m just I’m just like even looking at this little animation of her spinning and stuff flying out of her Okay I’m such a king for details today When she does this spin they’re like faces that come out of her with like different emotions Fairies are definitely very heavily tied to emotions And if you saw the original trailer they actually put a blog post by the way on this trailer alongside it which basically said that fairies don’t have a hunger need Instead they feed off others emotions which I think is interesting So her having the little smiley faces around her is definitely that Anyway this bloke Oh there we go We got some different casts Oh it’s going so it’s going so fast Was that necessary mate you’re going right We’re going to have to stop a minute So oh my god guys We got a new t-shirt in the game I’m so excited for a new t-shirt We don’t have a million of those already Oh gosh I don’t think I’m going to like the cast that comes with this pack It’s pretty diabolical isn’t it let’s be real Oh look Kids have a little fake fairy thing That’s cute isn’t it other than that though I think it looks pretty crap I mean how much could they do they’ve already done it all already How many times can you do a cottage core aesthetic so this is a new mystical trait it seems And that lady was doing mystical things with her hand Oh that’s a disruptive sim What’s the difference between disruptive mischievous i don’t know We’ve also got plant lover Okay so looks like we got three new traits here Mystical Sim which is all about the being I I think it’s just means like a hippie being honest And then we’ve got a plant lover which is obvious Although what’s the difference between a plant lover couldn’t they have just put plants in like likes and dislikes so it doesn’t take up a trait slot it just doesn’t make sense to me And then a disruptive sim This Sim looks like they’ve got LSD on their tongue in the in this little symbol So I don’t know what that’s all about Anyway it’s yet another mischievous trait Here’s some more casts as well Yeah this is definitely not the cast for me I’m going to be brutally honest with you Oh look And it shows that you can select fairies in Creative Sim Oh look They went so fast These are different wings So it looks like look you can choose the different wings in cast like the different wing shapes and you can change the colors of the individual things Gosh guys The Sims 4 looks so bad when it’s just two columns Thank god for the more columns in Cast Mod EA why have you not officially made these columns bigger yet i will never understand It’s literally severe And you can see let me move my head out the way temporarily You can Well just temporarily cuz I’m vain So you can see you’ve got a fairy form and a human form as the others And you can link or unlink them I always get this linky thing wrong So hopefully I’ll get it right for when I do my review And then look at this So it looks like I’m just looking at all of the different fairy wings They all look very strange to be honest I can’t see any very traditional elegantl looking fairy rings I think it’s very interesting also that they didn’t go down the route of you’ve got to grow your rings So it’s all very separate And then it looks like you can have various different skin colors for your fairy form Various different eye colors Also you can have horns So as well as a fairy you can be like a you know like a pixie or whatever with the horns Did I see antlers as well can I make a satanic fairy because that’s literally hilarious I think guys we should be making sat Oh yeah It is horns I think we should be making devil fairies Yes we should because that’s hilarious And it looks like this Sim has tattoos They all have tattoos over their face I’m assuming these are not custom tattoos I’m assuming these are like regular ones They look very very cool don’t they all the different designs So oh look there was different ear customization as well I’m just looking at all of these trying to go through it slowly cuz they change so quickly Looks like there’s a lot of fairy outfits And I reckon a lot of the cast in this pack is going to be taken up by the fairy stuff rather than normal humanl looking stuff which I guess is completely fine I’m more than happy to have all of that I mean that’s the whole point of the pack right i mean considering it’s an expansion pack I expect a lot anyway Oh look This is Mother Nature going small They’re showing her off changing in size and whizzing around And then this one on the right she’s got horns like a devil Although look she’s like praying the one on the right to the plant So she’s Look I think she’s making the plant bloom Yeah look Did you see she did some spell thing on the plant thing there to make it bloom Is the one on the left doing anything she’s just spinning That would be me spinning doing nothing Just having a bit of fun So this is the brand new trailer It’s just a little one And in addition to this brand new cast trailer okay we will also be getting a build mode trailer soon I believe Anyway because you know the Sims team did that like road map thing They did a road map for the road map for the road map They’ve done three road maps this season Are we getting a fourth that’s what I need to know Okay this is what I was talking about By the way this is the road map for the road map for the road map So we’ve just got the create a sim spotlight Then next we’re getting the build and buy spotlight Then we’re getting a gameplay trailer Then we’re getting the world spotlight Then we’re getting a pack live stream with a special guest probably yet another American rapper because that’s all they seem to work with ever I swear to God they only work with American rappers Yes they do And then we’re getting Discord challenge Discord challenges and more for The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature So as I said we’ve also got a patch update This is a very very tiny patch update Tinier than my second last boyfriend’s penis In fact it was just minor things for like the base game businesses and hobbies and seasons Unfortunately it is still raining indoors and that’s got no hope of being fixed as of yet How on earth did that happen i will never understand Why are they not like seeing this as like a severe priority right now i don’t know Seasons is literally breaking our games I would actually be curious to know by the way how many of you guys don’t have the raining indoors bug anyway at least we have this trailer to be exciting Although okay I just want to say I did notice a big mistake in this trailer So what I want you to do is like at this bit here okay when she goes into a fairy I want you to look at the man in green Look at his body shimmy It’s so quick that look can you see the way his body moves robotically it’s definitely like lazy animating right there That is not the final Look at how he’s l like how his body Okay can I just express like his body’s like like it it that’s not normal mate That’s not normal That’s a mistake in the trailer Or is it a lazy animation that’s what I want to know Is it a mistake that they accidentally put in this animation or is this the quality that we’re getting from The Sims 4 now was this just a mistake is crappy animation or is this just the the brand new low standard for The Sims 4 right now that’s what I want to know Simsteing please answer I mean we’re already at a pretty pretty big low right now with The Sims 4 There’s always some kind of gamebreaking huge bargain issue with the game as there is now unfortunately So it looks like The Sims 4 is still a piece of crap for the time being So I wouldn’t get too excited about enjoying live mode with this new pack I’m also maybe not getting too excited about the brand new event Maybe get excited for build mode with the brand new pack and create a sim mode They usually work usually Sometimes cast up Sometimes build mode up so they’re not perfect but they’re a lot less glitchy than The Sims 4 live mode is In fact I just saw a tweet by The Sims Direct Communication Thank you for your patience while we investigated the rain indoors issue We’re happy to share that we’ve identified a fix that would address this in the next update and we’ll confirm this via the upcoming laundry list This is one of the things I truly dislike about how The Sims team works If you’ve got the fix for it now implement it now The only thing that’s stopping you from implementing the fix for all players now is some bureaucratic hypothetical madeup rule that you’ve made up in the office for no reason We technically can’t do this because of this rule we made up for pretty much no reason because I’m a person in charge and I like making rules cuz it makes me feel valid in my job That’s what always happens in pretty much any business in the world So like it’s just so stupid Like they’ve literally just tweeted saying we have a fix so just implement it Like why is it so hard you can’t tell me otherwise why they can’t just implement the night Okay shut up I’m getting being carried Okay Karen Sach is gone And Adam and Steve swimwear Then we’ve got some mushrooms and on a plate Whatever I think this is the trait I completely forgot A lot trait or something Then we’ve got a table to go with the bench You first you first you first get the chair and then you get the table the week after which is hilarious Then we’ve got an ugly log stump tattoo Whose idea is this like I’m genuinely curious who walks into the office one day and is like I’m going to turn a tree stump into a tattoo Like can you name one person in real life who has a tree stump tattoo i’m just saying And then we’ve got the Shrek Get Out My Swamp toilet which is cool We’ve got Oh my god guys We’ve got some more rocks And then we’ve got sandals And then we’ve got yet another collection that they add in every single event I don’t think I’m excited for this event The only thing I think will be usable is the toilet because this actually comes with Woohoo functionality So it is a brand new Woohoo location which is cool Other than that the rest of it looks pretty crap And you just know the event is going to be like every other event Speak to this Sim Research this on the computer Speak to that Sim Speak to this Sim And then speak to that Sim again Like it’s just going to be like that like every other event we’ve had in the game There’s no reason why it will be any different There are going to be a m like some minor optional goals You can see here if you own Cats and Dogs Snowy Escape Horse Ranch and Love Struck then you may have different things For example optional purchase a romantic blanket on the home lot Although this is optional so you don’t need to do it So in other words what’s the actual point now I actually made a video I think like a week or two ago now where I spoke about the leak of dream quests So I feel like the idea of these like events are soon going to be obsolete when these dream events come out because these look a little bit more fun Honestly I don’t know if you guys saw the Oh Oh old me Old me is trying to assert himself over me now Here’s me asserting myself So do you know what I mean so like these events I just feel like maybe these these will be a bit more fun than the events because the dream quest thing it actually looks like I don’t know I don’t know long-term vision Anyway I feel like we’re going on a bit of a tangent right now So I don’t think I’m going to make
