now I’ll be completely honest It’s a very quiet week for anything new happening in VR gaming Especially after last week which saw the announcement of Endreams Reach Vertigo and Mace Theories Thief VR Twisted Pixels Marvel’s Deadpool VR and it was also confirmed that Resident Evil 9 will have a third person and firsterson perspective increasing the chances of a VR mode actually happening And there was actually a lot more And that was all in last week’s video And if you missed it I’m going to line it up so you can watch it at the end of this one But today’s video is pretty fast and to the point So please hit the like button and let’s get going What comes after is coming to Quest and Steam and is clearly trying to be some sort of Last of Us for VR And I’m pretty certain the title is even the same font as The Last of Us Anyway it’s being made by the same dev who made Cold VR And in this game you play 15minute missions fighting two types of enemies going by the names of mers which are an infected runner type and the keepers who are hostile survivors protecting all they have left After that the main focus is finding food and medicine to help keep your own community alive And there will also be a little bit of puzzle solving too And the developer said “This game will not be about loot or XP but more about survival and keeping the people alive in your community.” Now knowing what I know about game’s development from what I’ve seen here the game does look good but if you listen to the sound of the guns and some of the actions I’m pretty sure this game is a very long way off But graphically it does have me intrigued Five Nights at Freddy’s Secret of the Mimic will be getting a VR mode according to a developer interview stating it is coming after the flat screen game has launched which was earlier last week But what we don’t know is if the VR mode is going to come to PC VR and PSVR 2 or just PSVR 2 My guess is both because if the developers are going to be putting the time in to make a VR mode anyway they might as well put it on both platforms It is very welcome news and it’s definitely the best way to play these games And the only reason right now I haven’t actually checked it out Dreams of another is an upcoming philosophical adventure focused on a key theme and that theme is there is no creation without destruction and it’s coming later this year We got our first look at this a couple of states of play ago and it’s coming from developer Pixel Junk and we obviously all knew it was getting a VR mode but now it’s been confirmed there will be an exclusive firsterson mode just for PSVR 2 Now I’m still honestly not sure if I should be hyped for this game or not after watching this trailer but a firstp person mode definitely makes it a lot more appealing to me and definitely more interesting Let me know your thoughts on this one Are you actually looking forward to it and if so why the developers behind Midnight Walk finally caved in and dropped a patch to improve the PSVR 2 version stating it will now have higher resolution and better performance And after testing this update today the first part of the patch is definitely true It now looks easily on par with the PCVR in terms of resolution but it does come at a cost and that cost is almost constant jitters and these jitters are a little bit dynamic depending on what’s on the screen And personally as an update goes unfortunately I actually think the game is worse off for it But I also know so many of you don’t want to hear that So if you’re still desperate to check out this game but you’ve been waiting for a resolution increase I would try and play it with headbased movement and snap turning It’s the only way really that you can avoid all the on-screen jitters because they are far worse if you use smooth turning Now I’m assuming the developers will find out about this soon enough And I feel like the bad guy but trust me on this one At the moment I do feel it’s a small step forward but a bigger step backwards because in VR I think frame rate is really really important And lastly a new VR game from the creators of Windlands called Titan Isles which was originally coming to Quest and Steam is now also coming to PSVR 2 Titan is set on the planet of Tusca a vibrant world abound with diverse biomes when mysterious titans suddenly emerge from deep within the planet’s core wreaking havoc You can play this game alone or team up with three other players for some fourplayer bullet hell co-op action across multiple levels And before launching each mission you’ll get to choose from one of four exo suits called Storm Hunter Goliath and Blink with jetpacks grappling hooks burst jets and phase dash abilities Each exo suit also comes equipped with a signature weapon designed to synergize with his individual traversal method As weapons go there is plasma pistols with a long strike bow a bow with chyros arrows a powerful Chyros cannon and protective shield and a deadly viper bolt projectile Windlands 2 is a great game to play with friends So I’m very much looking forward to see how Titan Isles shapes up Well that is literally all I’ve got for you today Thank you ever so much for watching Remember to like and subscribe and I’ll see you on the next
