Oh, a lot of surprising Nintendo Switch 2 news just came out. Hello everyone, this is Andre’s restart and today we have much to discuss surrounding Nintendo and the Switch 2. A leak has just happened for Pokémon Legends ZA that could lead to an even bigger leak. And this could be something totally unprecedented. So, we’ll be getting into that. But also, there is news of price straps coming to Switch One titles, which could lead to savings on Switch 2 as well, which we’ll be getting into. There have been several confirmations of some very interesting Switch 2 features. And we’ve gotten a variety of pens indicating even more Switch 2 functionality, as well as new footage for Mario Kart World, showing even more off of the missions mode. And it’s exciting a great deal of fans. And there’s still even more beyond that to discuss. today. But before going forward, let me take a moment to point out that recently we’ve achieved our goal of hitting 50,000 subscribers before the launch of Switch 2. Thank you all for your support, but if you do find yourself enjoying my content, your subscription would still be appreciated. So, diving into this apparent leak for Pokemon Legends ZA here. Py on Twitter says, “Reporting update on Legends ZA leak situation. It has been dumped off a real Switch, passed around in playable condition, emulated and data mined. Continuing on here, Pory says, “There has been visual proof provided for this claim as well. All there is left is a psychopathic person to leak it out there. I don’t have access to this. All I was able to do was get this reporting after months of digging. Its gatekeep.” So according to Pory here, some evidence has been provided behind the scenes to show that this game has been leaked. It is out there. It’s been emulated in data mind. And there are people who could do something so foolish as to leak it out there to the entire public. If this were to happen, Nintendo, Pokemon Company, Game Freak, they would definitely be engaging in some serious legal pursuits here. So, this could be insane if a mega game like Pokemon Legends ZA is leaked months ahead of time. The thing about this game is that they may have been saving this so it could come out a little bit later into the year, polishing it up, and also preparing the Switch 2 version. So, the game may very well be content complete already, and they’re just ironing out some details here. So, whatever version that has been dumped, emulated, and data mined could be essentially the full game, if not very close. And this could leak pretty much everything about Legends ZA, which would be pretty bad this far in advance. That would be insane. It would be unprecedented for a game like this to leak months in advance. This game is probably coming out around the November period of time, maybe slightly earlier, maybe slightly later, but we do have a release window for this fall. So hopefully this doesn’t get out there cuz that would be insane. And I I rather they just start marking this game naturally and us learning everything that they want us to learn before actually get our hands on the game and enjoying all the wonderful surprises this game may have. On to the price drop situation. We just got word that Nintendo will be dropping the price for their firstparty Nintendo Switch games and DLC in Hong Kong, taking effect June 1st, 2025. Nintendo didn’t comment much as to why they were dropping the prices for their games, but they did say they monitor market conditions closely. Now, it’s being brought up in this Nintendo Swoop.com article here that it’s being speculated that most of the titles that are getting a price drop are a Nintendo games that are also getting a Switch to Edition and upgrade packs. And it’s also pointed out in this article that this may possibly be the first time in a decade that Nintendo is going to be reducing prices for their main games in their back catalog. And so, this could actually have some very interesting implications here. It may not just be happening in Hong Kong. It could be happening across the board sooner or later. Now, the thing is, it’s being speculated that these price drops will be coming to games that have Switch to editions. That is not known for certain, but if it is the case, people complaining about the pricing for Breath of the Wild Switch 2 edition or Tears of the Kingdom Switch to Edition, if there is a price drop for those games on Switch One when you buy the Switch One version and then pay for the Switch 2 edition, well, it would not be as expensive. This reminds me of the recent Hogers Legacy sale where you were able to buy the game for like 18 bucks or something USD and then you also get a dramatic discount on the Switch 2 version as well. At this point in time, we don’t know which games it is. All we know that it’s Nintendo games and it’s only happening in Hong Kong for now. It may go beyond that. But it should also be noted that Nintendo has delayed the launch of the Switch 2 in China. So, it’s possible that maybe the dropping of these prices has something to do with that. Maybe they’re trying to build up sales in that region before they can eventually release Switch 2 there. Moving on to some interesting Switch 2 news. We recently learned from Koe Techmo with their Nobanasa’s Ambition game. They put out this new footage for the game and as you see here, they’re revealing that you can actually connect a mouse via USB and use that in place of the Joy-Con mouse controls. So, they were showing off the mouse controls with the Joy-Cons in this game, but they’re also showing that you can use a mouse instead. And this is kind of a big deal. It just takes priority over in the mouse control joy-cons. And what I think is very interesting about this is that this is another game using the mouse controls. The mouse controls are being frequently used in a variety of games. They will have so much application because there are many games that are made for PC that have cursors and aiming around. So, it just works quite often. And now we’re seeing that you can indeed plug in a mouse to use that functionality as well. From the Nintendo Today app, Nintendo confirmed three different screen layouts for game chat. You have your standard layout, you have your expanded layout, and you have your full screen layout. So, it’s nice to see that we have these different options. If I’m doing game chat, I want to just see the full screen of the game, unless I really want to see people’s faces, but most of the time I do not. And so, they show here the options. You can just pick them just like that. And maybe sometimes I’ll use expand the main screen. That’s a possibility. But yeah, for me, most of the time I’m probably just going to do full screen. I’ll mess around with the other screen layouts sometimes, but I’m glad that they have these options. Something else we learned today is that switch to cartridges will have a key symbol if it is a game key card. So, it’s not just going to be an indicator on the game case, but also the cartridges as well. And what is likely more exciting news, we recently got word from developer ShiftUp that they are telling their investors that they have plans to bring their game Stellar Blade to other platforms beyond PlayStation. So Xbox Series X and S and Nintendo Switch 2 seem like very very likely candidates here. I played the demo for Stellar Blade I thought was fantastic. I intended on picking up for PS5, but now I have some optimism maybe coming to Switch 2, so I might wait just a little bit more to see what happens here. It is a wonderful game. On the note of fast-paced action games, though, we have some rumors indicating even more on their way for Nintendo Switch 2 that would be published by Nintendo. So yesterday I put out a video talking about some recent things indicated by leaker Nash Weedle in a podcast with friend of the channel Attack the Backlog. That podcast will be linked in the description below and we’ve already talked about some exciting things that were mentioned there like Ocarine of Time remake who is developing Donkey Kong Bonanza. But there were other details that came out and I strongly recommend you watch the entire show. There’s a lot there. But something else that was indicated is that Astral Chain 2 and Bayonetta 4 are likely on their way to Switch 2. Astral Chain first. I’m a big fan of Astral Chain, so I would love to see a new one on Switch. I think they could really fully realize the vision of that game at 60 frames per second at a high resolution with a lot of cool things going on. It was already impressive on Switch even though it was only running at 30. So, I’m looking forward to a national chain 2. I do remember that when they gave us that initial trailer reveal for Beta the 3, they had the dog outfit from Astral Chain. It felt like a tease, but I don’t think they would just tease it as a reference. And also the way the story left off with Astral Chain, clearly there’s room for more. So, I think they’ve been working on an Astral Chain 2 for some time. And I wouldn’t be surprised if we see it within the next couple years on Switch, too. But Nashle also mentioned some other interesting things on Twitter here. Now, these aren’t leaks. These are official real patents indicating some functionality we perhaps did not understand of the Switch 2 JoyCons. Now, the thing about patents is that it doesn’t mean whatever functionality or technology we see in these patents, they’ll actually be used. However, given that the JoyCons are already a confirmed thing and they already have the mouse functionality, we’re seeing here that with that sensor for the mouse, you can do different things. You can use your finger to cover up different objects. You can go ahead and move things around like this. As you see here, the finger is passing through the scanner and it’s interacting with the screen before you. But there’s even more here. We see that with the mouse controls. You can move your hands up and down to do a swimming motion or a climbing motion. You can see the mouse right here where you’re pressing these different buttons and moving in different directions. I could envision maybe like they build a brand new Ice Climbers game, like a modern-day Ice Climbers game, and it could be played entirely with two different JoyCons in mouse mode, and it could be all about climbing. Now, I would like a little bit of diversity. Maybe they also have to swim sometimes when ice is melted and they’re on different levels and there’s still some exploration that is had there. And, you know, maybe there’s something else that can be done. Like here, we see that there’s just different things that can be done with the hands there. So, there’s a lot of possibilities, and this is just a different functionality that we’re seeing of the Switch 2 Joy-Cons. But Nash also points out another where we see more of the finger being used to slide on the sensor. And as you see here, he’s suggesting that, hey, maybe they can use this functionality for other games and bring them back from the past to Switch, too. Like Nintendo Land, as you see here with the Ninjast Star throwing miniame. Something else neat we have seen is an entire Donkey Kong bus for Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando. I love it. I really want to ride this bus. I wonder how it looks inside if it’s still designed in a Donkey Kongl like theme. That would be really cool. And for the final bit of news we’ll be discussing today, here is a new footage of Mario Kart World showing off another mission in the game. So, as we see from this footage, this is about going through a bold escape in this ice cream ravine. And what’s interesting about this is that this is forcing people to do wall writing and bouncing around and flying around, things that maybe not everyone is going to be used to. And this kind of goes to show how missions are going to function, very similar to how they functioned in Mario Kart DS, where the missions help to teach you more about the game and do different advanced techniques and tricks. So, we’re seeing more of that here, except with the mechanics of Mario Kart World, it’s pretty interesting. This is a quick bite-sized mission, but it’s showing even more variety to the missions here. Just what, a day ago or a couple days ago, we talked about how they showed off another mission with where it was with the cows. It was an obstacle course. So, we’ve already seen four different types of missions here. And I’m going to assume there’s far more, which just has me even more excited for Mario Kart World. But what do you all think of this latest Nintendo Switch 2 news? Let me know in the comments below. This is Andre’s restart. Thank you so much for listening and watching and I’ll see you all really soon. Take care. Bye. Raviol.
