[Music] So, new PlayStation 5 reveals today, mindblowing PlayStation 5 gameplay showcased, and a new PlayStation 5 update now live. Those are the stories we’re going to cover today. And if you could hit that like button on the video, thank you to those that do it. And as always, it’s very much appreciated. First, yes or no. Are you a Greek God of War fan or not? We’re going to be talking about a new game and when it could take place in ancient Greece, but how many of you are fans of the original series? and not just God of War 2018 or Ragnarok. So, comment below yes or no if you’re a fan of the God of War Greek games or not. Let me know down in the comments below. Now, diving into the first story of the video. New PlayStation 5 update now live. Reading from PlayStation Lifestyle, Sony is rolling out PlayStation 5 system software update 11.40 for June 2025. Like previous firmware updates, the rollout will be staggered by region. However, don’t expect a major update like the April 2025 patch. The June 2025 PS5 system update brings, drum rolls, usability improvements, no bless stability this time. We’ve improved the messages and usability on some screens. The patch note reads, “As far as messages are concerned, we know that Sony has been cracking down on PlayStation 5 players sharing links via the conso’s messaging system. In recent months, it was a loophole that players were exploiting to access PS5’s browser, which Sony isn’t too happy about since it enables modders to jailbreak consoles. As a reminder, sharing links now often leads to players receiving a system generated warning from Sony against breaking terms of service. So, I was not aware that if you send links now to friends or yourself, I guess you’ll get a system generated warning. This is kind of crazy that Sony is doing this because this is clearly a point that people want to access the browser that you guys clearly have on the PlayStation 5. Like, it’s there. We know it’s there. You guys just don’t give us access to it. I think Sony needs to figure out a way to allow people to use a browser and attempt to avoid hacking possibilities or give people what they want, which is picturein picture when they’re playing a game. for example, let let players be able to use the YouTube app to stream something while you know you’re playing your game, like watching a walkthrough while you’re playing a game, stuff like that. That’s what many people I know use the browser for. And if you’re enjoying the video so far, hit that subscribe button and join our growing community on our way to 150,000 subscribers. Now diving into the second story of the video. Mind-blowing PlayStation 5 gameplay showcase. Reading from Video Game Chronicle. A gameplaybased tech demo for The Witcher 4 has been shown off during an Unreal Engine showcase. The State of Unreal presentation opened with CD Project Red. Developers taking the stage to show a technological showcase set in the world of Witcher 4. Running on a PlayStation 5 with rateracing enabled. CD Project Red has confirmed to VGC that what was shown wasn’t Witcher 4 gameplay, but a tech demo set in the Witcher 4 world. While it wasn’t confirmed that what was shown was actual gameplay, it shows what’s at least potentially capable on a standard PlayStation 5 console. So, this was a pretty impressive demo. Not only the visuals aspect, which looked great, but also the demonstration itself. The detail and everything was impressive, especially that horse section, seeing the muscle deformation, that was amazing. But the biggest highlight for me personally, outside of the gorgeous visuals, was the NPC interaction, which I worry won’t actually be in the final game. This dynamic approach of interacting with NPCs, like when Siri bumped into a person and the apples fell to the floor, and then you saw a kid show up and get one of those apples and run. They made that seem like that was a random occurrence. And if it was a random occurrence, that’s impressive. Stuff like that is what makes an open world feel truly next generation, truly alive. This is something we don’t really see that type of natural NPC lielike reaction to stuff the player does. So, if they do manage to get not only the visuals, not only the amazing horse deformation, muscle deformation, but if they manage to get NPCs reacting in different ways naturally to different dynamic situations like how they did in the demo, that’s going to be something special. But you guys, let me know if you were impressed by the Witcher 4 Unreal demo or not. Let me know down in the comments below. And now diving into the final story of the video. New PlayStation 5 reveals today. So, it’s finally been confirmed that Sony is going to have a State of Play event later today at 5:00 p.m. Eastern. They stated this. State of Play returns June 4th. Watch live for news and updates on mustplay games coming to PlayStation 5. The show highlights a selection of great games from creators across the globe. The 40 minute plus show begins on June 4th at 2 pm Pacific. So this is one of the longer events, longer State events. Now what about what could be shown at the show? They say, “Watch live for news updates on mustplay games coming to the PlayStation 5.” So let’s go over what could possibly be there. So the first one I want to talk about is, of course, Resident Evil 9. This game has been rumored for some time now, and obviously it was confirmed last year that the next Resident Evil is definitely in the works. Recent reports have stated that Resident Evil 9 will be revealed this week. This is either going to be at the State of Play today or at Summer Games Fest on Friday. Historically, Resident Evil games in recent memory have been revealed at PlayStation events, so it makes sense for it to show up today. But then there’s another rumor. The other rumor is that Pragmata will finally be revealed, re-revealed today at the PlayStation State of Play and Resident Evil 9 will be revealed at Summer Games Fest. We haven’t heard anything substantial on Pragmata for a long time. And remember, this game was revealed in 2020. That’s how long ago it was. But beyond that, we also have Sorrowos. Housemark already confirmed that we will be getting gameplay for Sorrowos later this year. And right now is later this year. It’s either they show off something here or they show off something at the September event. Next up is Wolverine. Insomniac has been quiet in terms of what’s going on with Wolverine for some time. And obviously people have noticed that they could very well show a trailer here and then tease an early 2026 release. The alternative, of course, they actually showcase something in September and tease a later in 2026 release or maybe still early 2026 release. Either way, Wolverine has been in development for over four years, so I assume they definitely have something to show. Remember that Spider-Man 2 took five years to make while they were making Miles Morales, Ratchet and Clank, and Spider-Man Remastered, which means a Wolverine game, this Wolverine game is a full-fledged big title. I feel like Insomniac has been preparing several things that they could potentially drop in a short time frame between each other in the next several years like they did in the beginning of the PlayStation 5 era. And finally, you have a new God of War game. This new game is reportedly a 2.5D Metroid Vania game that will take place before Kratos becomes a god in ancient Greece, so sometime before God of War I. It stated that Deeos, Kratos’s younger brother, will be playable as well, which is surprising since Kratos doesn’t see Deemos again until Ghost of Sparta, which is after he becomes a god. So, I wonder if this is an alternative timeline or is this just focused on Deemos and his imprisonment in Thanotos’s realm? Is it that’s the focus? He’s going through the trials over there or something like that. This game is being made by a developer, not Sony Santa Monica, but they are supervising it. It was originally planned to release this year, but delayed internally according to recent rumors. This to me sounds like a Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown type of game, which I enjoyed. I enjoyed that that Prince of Persia game, but with a God of War setup, that sounds amazing to me. I I play that for sure. Obviously, I’m biased. I’m a God of War is my favorite franchise. So, I’ll definitely be playing this. They could very well develop a story timeline with this, you know, 2D God of War games uh that we could play while we wait for the next big AAA God of War game. To me, that sounds really good. The show is hours away. I’m excited. But you guys, let me know if you’re excited to watch the State of Play or not. Let me know down in the comments below. If you’re new, welcome. For today’s thing, what I want you guys to do is the body, obliterate, destroy, and overall harass the comment section with the reveal season begins. It’s going to kick off today with the PlayStation State of Play. But we have several events to go for the rest of June. I’m excited for all of those. If you are as well, destroy the comment section with the reveal season begins. I’ll definitely heart those comments like I always do because I appreciate everybody who stays to the end of my videos.
