hey guys HTV here and welcome to a brand new video today we’ve got some really interesting information to go over a Pokemon rumor has popped up detailing all of the release dates of future Pokemon games such as generation 10 Legends ZA DLC Pokemon Champions we also have some Nintendo Switch 2 updates to go over and a few other bits and bobs as well as a lot of things to break down today so if you’re excited for the video drop a like down below leave a comment subscribe if you’re brand new and let’s get into the video so starting things off let’s go over this new Pokemon rumor detailing the release dates of all the upcoming Pokémon games it was posted on 4chan so of course take with a massive grain of salt i’m just going to call it fake straight off the get- go cuz I don’t know how somebody would know all this information and then be willing just to drop it on 4chan it just seems very very unlikely um but either way it was titled info posted by anonymous uh so it says Pokémon Legends ZA the release date obviously 16th of October 2025 we already know that and then it says Pokemon Champions releases on the 19th of March 20126 so that’d be less than a month after Pokémon Day which of course is on the 27th of February uh so the 19th of March uh is a I’m going to be checking dates a lot in this it is a Thursday so yeah I mean obviously Pokémon Legends EA is dropping on a Thursday so maybe Champions drops on a Thursday as well it seemingly is the case now that Nintendo are just releasing games on Thursdays instead of Fridays but obviously Champions is a mobile game as well so maybe they maybe that I guess means that the release date is going to be on a different day who knows but either way Champions apparently coming out March the 19th 2026 we’ll probably find the release date out in the 22nd of July pokémon presents anyway and then it says Pokemon Legends ZA DLC which is going to be dropping on the 4th of June 2026 which is a uh Thursday as well uh which again a little bit more likely to be a Thursday because obviously Pokemon Legends ZA is dropping on a Thursday so the DLC would also be dropping on a Thursday as well again because we’re probably getting a generation 10 announcement in February i just I I don’t think they’re going to drop DLC after that because obviously generation 10 is the thing that they’re going to want to promote there unless it’s like a free update for Legends ZA or something which they could just shadow drop in February um because the game would have been out for about four or five months then so if they just drop a three like a shadow drop a free update like they did with Pokemon Legends Archus then that could be a little bit more I think likely to be the case but we did know the DLC was planned for Legends originally obviously from the Terror League and stuff um so whether they keep that going I don’t know we spoke about the DLC a lot we don’t really know what they’re going to do hopefully we get some information after October whether we’re going to get that or not but again as of right now we’re just unsure but apparently it’s dropping on the 4th of June 2026 we then have Pokémon Play which drops on the 25th of September 2026 so September the 20 what is it 25th is uh a Friday so that’s not actually a Thursday this time so that’s a Friday um Pokemon Play i mean I’ve not heard anything about that unless that’s the Pokemon app that Riddler was talking about but I don’t know i feel like Pokemon Play is hasn’t already been used for something before i don’t know i feel like that look that that sounds very familiar Pokémon Play not that it’s like an app or something but I feel like that’s already been used as a title of something already but either way Pokémon Play apparently dropping on the 25th again this is the 30th anniversary so we are expecting quite a few drops in 2026 um but again we’ll have to wait and see and then it says Pokemon Wind and Waves which I assume is generation 10 dropping on the 19th of November 2026 which is lo and behold a Thursday so like I say I mean this is most likely just someone taking a stab in the dark if they get lucky and let’s say we get the 19th of March right for for the Pokémon presents then you know this is going to get a lot more traction because I feel like if you get one of the dates right then you probably know a little bit more information but they could have just got super lucky so we’ll have to wait and see what happens with that but they also go on and talk about trailers for Legend ZA as well so they say that the new ZA trailer is next Thursday so next Thursday is still getting these dates out uh that is 19 the 19th of June so I mean I think it’s unlikely for them to drop a trailer unless it’s part of a Nintendo Direct or something because we’re of course getting a trailer on the 22nd of July but either way we’ll have to wait and see it’s not too long to wait until next Thursday and then we’re getting a new ZA trailer on the 22nd of July so that Oh yeah obviously yeah it’s Pokémon Day uh Pokémon presents sorry uh so yeah obviously that makes sense uh and then we’re getting a small trailer on the 17th of August so I think that’s that’s when Worlds is isn’t it yeah I think that’s um going to be around when Worlds is which we’re expecting something there probably a new Mega Evolution pretty sure Mega Kangaskon was revealed during Worlds way way way back but uh yeah so that’d be the next three trailers and then the September trailer is to be decided and they just say enjoy so next Thursday Pokémon presents day 17th of August which is Worlds and then September is to be decided so like I say I it just seems like someone taking a load of stabs in the dark to try and get some dates right but I mean we have to wait till next Thursday if this is We don’t even have to wait until uh Champions coming out the 19th of March we literally find this out next Thursday if this is true or not so if we get like a Nintendo Direct announced on Wednesday for Thursday and when we get Pokemon Legends EA news then potentially this gets a little bit more credible but there are rumors that we are going to get a Nintendo Direct next week so again maybe maybe that they get lucky maybe they don’t maybe we don’t get anything who knows either way though that’s the latest rumor let me know your thoughts on it do talk Pokemon presents this is a post from Game Ran saying “The next Pokemon presents has been announced for July 22nd nearly 2 months early and that might be telling of what to expect from it.” So this is a post from uh kind of just kind of Gamer Ranch just talking about what we potentially could be seeing and stuff which again we’ve spoken about quite a lot but it goes a little bit more into detail about it so they say “The recently announced Pokémon Presents may be more than meets the eye as it marks an unusual first for the Pokémon franchise while it may seem easy to predict what the presentation will talk about the early announcement may point towards much larger news for Pokémon fans we have already spoken about generation 10 potentially being announced in this and of course there has been rumors circulating about it um I still don’t believe it’s going to happen cuz it just doesn’t really make sense from a marketing point of view but at the same time it is something that could happen because the whole marketing cycle for Pokémon lately has just been so difficult to predict uh said it was summoned on it was ann summoned it was announced on May the 28th that a Pokémon presents will air on the 22nd of July almost 2 months later this may not sound like exceptional news on the surface after all a new Pokémon game is on the way but when looking at the history of Pokémon Presents announcement it becomes clear that something about this one may be different typically Pokémon presents are announced at the earliest a few weeks before the presentation date i It’s usually not even that it’s usually the day before uh maybe a week before but through the course of the last kind of like seven or eight years it’s usually the day before uh and it says “The July 22nd announcement is the first time a Pokemon Presents has been revealed so far in advance of its intended air date leading some to believe that may be big news on the horizon seems like a foregone conclusion that the Pokémon Presents will cover information about Pokémon Legends Z8 obviously but the fact that fans are being made aware of the date so early suggests they might want to mark their calendars because perhaps news about Pokemon’s 10th generation games will be shared as well i think this is why it’s causing such a storm just simply because they’ve never announced something so much in advance before so that’s why maybe people are like you know this is different this time that they’re doing something that is unprecedented unexpected so maybe that’s uh going to be because there’s going to be a big reveal so in the past Pokémon showcases have revealed information about new games DLC mobile titles and more so it seems unlikely that the upcoming presentation will focus on just one game that being said now that Pokémon Legends ZA has an official release date it’s almost a certainty that fans can expect some news about it other popular Pokémon games and spin-offs are also likely to feature such as Pokémon Go Pokémon TG Pocket which have been two of the series most successful non-console titles it’s kind of crazy that Pocket is already one of those most successful titles that isn’t on a console because it only just came out like last October it’s kind of crazy uh based on past presentations the announcements usually range from small content additions such as new boosters for Pokémon TCG Pocket to major announcements like the reveal of new mainline titles the format sees the presentation ending with its most impactful news which is usually a new game reveal or trailer for an upcoming title the last two Pokémon presents concluded with trailers for Pokemon Legends EA so that might be the case again with a July 22nd presentation which players are hoping will reveal new mega evolutions but fans are expecting news about these games and the Pokémon Company likes to surprise its fans based on that and with the already lengthy gap between generations 9 and 10 the showcase might save a new Legend ZA trailer for the end but not for last leaving a surprise teaser for generation 10 at the very end so in today’s era of gaming news and trailers companies are constantly trying to beat leakers to their big reveal despite that there have been several leaks about the next Pokemon generation of course these leaks are unconfirmed so they should be treated like skepticism but if they are true it’s likely the leaked information will be revealed uh because fans already know what uh know like what to expect the latest leaks about the legends the next Pokémon game suggests that its location will be based on Greek archipelago leading some to worry that it might repeat Pokémon’s third generation controversy that location is announced in the Pokemon presents hopefully some information will come along with it how this location will be different from Hoen’s archipelago aside from a small teaser it’s unlikely that a full trailer will be shown for the next games if fans are lucky the official names might be revealed and if they’re very lucky they might see the starter trio that’s a lot of buzz around the next game and it hasn’t been announced so it would also be in the Pokémon company’s best interest to indicate how generation 10 will learn from Scarlet and Violet’s success and failures of course all of this is just speculation at the moment but fans can tune into the Pokémon presents on the 22nd of July to find out what’s in store so yeah it’s just kind of more rehashing of um you know this potential generation 10 announcement in July again I’m still very much on the fence about it happening i just don’t see why they do it when they have Pokemon Legends Z8 to promote and also Pokemon Champions to promote it saying Nintendo is considering the 5Nm chip for the Nintendo Switch 2 midgen refresh so uh Nintendo Switch 2 performance upgraded variant with 5nm chip under consideration so South Korean media outlets uh Chosen reports Nintendo initially considered using Samsung’s 5 Samsung’s 5nm node for the Nintendo Switch 2 but ultimately settled for an 8nm but the console maker could still use the 5Nm node for a midcycle refresh later so an earlier leak gave us an in-depth look at the Nvidia Tegra T239 chip uh that powers the Nintendo Switch 2 it used off-the-shelf um CPU cores and a GPU based on Nvidia’s Ampia architecture and lastly it confirmed to be manufactured on Samsung Foundaries uh somewhat archaic 8NM um I guess 8N node a new report from South Korea media outlet Chosen sheds light on Nintendo’s prospects so as speculated by earlier leaks the Nintendo Switch 2’s Tegra T239 was initially meant to be made on Samsung’s newer 5nm node but Nintendo ultimately settled with the DUVbased 8nm node because it was cheaper because it was already used for Nvidia Ampia designing the GPU could be a lot less cumbersome that said if the recent Nintendo Switch 2 performance simulation is accurate the savings might affect Nintendo eventually nintendo’s decision might have made sense if the Switch 2 cost 349 and not $449 the report adds Nintendo could collaborate with Samsung again in the future the 5nm node mentioned above could be used for a performance upgraded version of the Nintendo Switch 2 this could be the OLED variant that will arrive with some much needed extra firepower by modern-day console hardware standards the Tegra 239 is already substandard and the situation will only get worse in the coming years with games demanding more powerful hardware apparently Nintendo’s partnership should make other handheld chip makers like AMD consider Samsung Note for future offerings but that is unlikely to happen in the immediate future because AMD already has a cozy relationship with TSMC and even managed to secure previous uh FAB space on the coveted N2X node for Zen 6 so yeah what this is basically going over is the fact that when we do get that mid-gen refresh whether it’s an OLED or a Pro or whatever um they probably will go for this 5nm just to make it more powerful and that’s that’s the thing with with these consoles they don’t want to throw everything that like all the best stuff into the first edition because then people won’t buy the next edition whereas if you get the original Nintendo Switch 2 and then they bring out an OLED or a Pro which is better then they there’s a more of a chance of people going for that instead of just putting it all in the first one they know what they’re doing it makes sense um but yeah that that’s kind of uh the latest information on that finishing things off for today’s video though I wanted to quickly go over this about the Nintendo Switch 2 uh we’ve got Go Nintendo tweet here tweeting out saying an analytics firm expects Nintendo Switch to move uh to move 104 plus million units by 2030 so uh in the year 2030 we’ve seen all kinds of analyst and industry insider commentary on the Nintendo Switch 2 and that talk comes with all sorts of predictions for units sold now yet another company is throwing their hat into the ring with their best gueststimates ampia Analysis a data research and analytics firm has put out their breakdown of what they expect for the Nintendo Switch 2 in terms of units sold this year and further out their predictions are as follows so over 13 million Switch 2 units sold in 2025 we already know they’ve sold 3.5 million and that was in the first few days so I feel like 13 million for the remainder of 2025 is very very likely 32.2 2 million units sold by 2026’s end 51.2 million units sold by 2027’s end and then 104.3 million units sold by 2030s end initial sales of the Switch will be higher due to pent-up demand from existing Switch users switch will see a slower rate of sales by 2030 because obviously it would have been out by 5 years by then us tariffs add a layer of uncertainty to Nintendo Switch 2’s performance outlook lack of a pandemic driven surge will impact sales nintendo’s hardware share will increase by almost 50% by 2027 steam Deck and the PlayStation Portal are not a significant threat to Nintendo Switch 2 adoption nintendo Switch 2 sales will surpass the lifetime sales of the entire PC gaming handheld category in its launch year so that’s like the Steam Deck and stuff like that switch 2 software will represent a 7 billion to 8 billion market over the next two years growing to 10 billion in 2028 switch to Edition games and upgrades will encourage existing Switch owners to spend more strength of thirdparty content for Switch 2 will bring Nintendo into more direct competition with Sony and Xbox consoles the Dusk Bloods will help engage part-time Switch users uh there is an untapped opportunity for Nintendo to utilize in-game monetization which yeah I mean that’s just kind of the way that games are going nowadays they they make a free game and then there’s just so many uh microtransactions and stuff and then by 2027 Nintendo’s console market share for in-game and DLC monetization could more than double to 10% if it focuses efforts on this area you got to think there’s a lot of big games on the horizon as well like generation 10 if that’s a Switch to exclusive it’s going to make so many people buy generation 10 because buy a Switch 2 because obviously Pokemon is the biggest media franchise in the world i’d say a solid amount of people only buy Nintendo for Pokémon so if there is a generation 10 game which is the best Pokémon game that’s ever going to be made as of right now and it’s only available on the next console you’re probably going to buy the next console um so yeah there’s games like that coming out there like 3D Mario which is exclusive to the Switch 2 might might make new Animal Crossing games stuff like that they have so many massive cash cows in terms of games like Legend of Zelda as well that they don’t even have to try cuz they know people are just going to buy the consoles play the new games cuz the the new games are just that good um but yeah it’s going to be interesting i mean it’s a number that I definitely think they’ll hit by probably a lot earlier by 2030 but either
