so we could be expecting some Red Dead Redemption 2 news this week now to give you all some context recently we’ve heard some rumors that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be coming out on current gen consoles the version of Red Dead Redemption 2 that everyone’s playing for example on the PlayStation 5 is just the PS4 version all they’ve done is simply just made it available on the PlayStation 5 but there’s been some buzz and some rumors that potentially they’re going to be releasing it dedicated to the PlayStation 5 which would essentially mean that we get a PlayStation 5 Pro optimized version and maybe on the base PlayStation version we’ll have access to things like 60 frames per second and stuff like that now other than rumors and data miners we haven’t really had much else on it until yesterday the actor for John Maren Rob Wheathoff was doing a live stream and in that live stream he said that there’s some big news coming but he can’t really talk about it but you can tell how excited he is let me just show you the clip i’ve got such exciting news i can’t share it with you right now and it’s absolutely killing me by the end of this week hopefully sooner you’re going to not this week I guess uh probably not as soon as tomorrow but definitely before Friday oh my goodness the news that I have to share and I won’t be the only one sharing it i cannot wait for you to know what’s going on and that’s all I can say and I’m not trying to be I’m just telling that’s the only thing I can think about right now and you will know soon enough i can’t wait for you to know i am so excited but I truly cannot think about anything else especially playing this game i can’t think of anything else other than what I want to tell you so bad on it so excited now the reason why this is interesting is the actual context of it nothing in the chat prompted this no one was saying anything and of course he was playing Red Dead at the time and on top of that this just falling off the back of all these rumors and speculations that apparently some point this year we’re going to be getting an update to Red Dead Redemption 2 of some sort really does make you think now if this was a simple port from the PlayStation 4 to the PlayStation 5 this wouldn’t really be a normal reaction to it because it wouldn’t really affect him in any way and it wouldn’t really be like as exciting of an announcement for him and this is of course they’re just down speculation street so everything you’re about to hear in the video is purely my thoughts feelings and opinions and none of it is confirmed facts in any way this is just me speculating him being this excited about this lends me personally to believe that maybe there’s a possibility albeit a small possibility but a possibility nonetheless that maybe we might be getting a DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2 only a short DLC only a little something to tie us over till GTA 6 but it looks like potentially he’s excited about announcing something he’s been working on and he still has a very close relationship with Rockstar Games i think realistically if Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting brought out into current gen consoles Rockstar might do something whether it’s like a limited merch run or whether it’s a small DLC or maybe some sort of digital product where we can celebrate the release of the nextG version of Red Dead Redemption 2 now I have seen an absolute ton of speculation about some form of announcement for Red Dead Redemption 3 and once again this is just my opinion i don’t think Rockstar will continue the Red Dead Redemption franchise the John Marston story before and after has been told now and there’s not really much else they can tell about these characters unless they go to like Arthur Morgan story before Red Dead Redemption 2 but I feel like Rockstar probably wouldn’t go down that route it’s about time for Rockstar to after Grand Theft Auto 6 of course to probably start working on a new IP which based on all the information I have seems to be the most likely thing for them to do so this kind of circles back to what Rockstar could be announcing if they’re announcing anything and I think there’s a 70% chance that we get an announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 just being ported to the PS5 i think there’s maybe a 50% chance that that’s a remaster with maybe 60 frames per second or graphical upgrades and I think maybe there’s like a 20% chance that maybe this comes alongside some DLC that would explain why Rob Wehoff seemed so excited during that live stream i’m really keen to hear what your thoughts are on this so make sure you drop it down below and thank you so much for watching today’s video if you did enjoy please make sure to like and subscribe and I’ll see you all in the next
