[Music] Hey everybody, it’s Andrew. We’re here with the Surface Laptop 13-in. I also have the Surface Pro 12 in. We’re going to unbox that uh today as well, but we’ll do that in a separate video. So, we’re going to do backtoback. So, this is the Surface Laptop 13, and this one is the Snapdragon X Plus. this with with 16 GB of memory and one 512 GB of storage. Now, we’ll figure out what kind of storage that is. Uh, but this comes in at $8.99. I picked this up over at Microsoft’s website. I picked up the Surface Pro 12 in at uh Best Buy. So, I’ll leave links for everything in the description below. So, without further ado, let’s find out what you get inside the box. All right. So, pretty nice packaging so far. It matches the ocean color. It also comes in violet and it also comes in platinum. We’ve seen that before. So, so far so good. Uh, this feels pretty nice. We’ll get a measurement of the weight in a little bit. We get some documentation here. Uh, no stickers or anything like that, it seems. But that is the documentation, yada yada yada. Warranty information. Let’s put that to the side. And then of course, we do get a charger here. So, that’s good to see. The USB type-C cable. And then, of course, 45 watts right there. Okay. And then you can get And it comes with the US prongs here. So, let’s plug this in here. So, this slides in like this. And this goes in like that. Boom. And you have the flip out prongs. So that’s 45 watts. Remember, no more surface connect port. And that seems like that is everything in the box. So let’s put the box to the side. And we have the wax here. Let’s take it out of the paper. And this is the ocean color. So this is like a greenish gray. Uh nice looking laptop so far. I will say I do like the color here. Yeah. So, this is all metal. No plastic on the bottom. So, that’s good. And you can see it here. This is the color right there. So, very, very nice indeed. So, let’s do the you know what test here. So far, looking good. So, this is a 13in display. I believe it’s 1920 x 1280 3:2 aspect ratio. All right, let’s get a look at the ports here. And we’re going to start off on the left side. A USB typeA port and a headphone jack. So, that is the left side. And on the right side, we got two USB type-C ports. We’ll get into that in a little bit. Gone is the Surface Connect port. So, no longer an option here. And you don’t get USB 4.0 like you get on the others that are offered in this line. So, that is one compromise right off the bat. So, this is as far back as the display goes. And let’s see the touchcreen. Yep, that’s working. Let’s There it is. That there’s the brightness. Okay. And this is going to be US. We want to skip the second keyboard layout. Let me connect to my network. We’ll be right back. So, the build quality is better than I expected. I was almost thinking this is going to be more like a Surface Laptop Go. It’s actually better than that. The It’s got the all metal design here. Now, the display won’t be quite as good as the Surface Laptop 13. The 15-in, but nonetheless, it’s still pretty nice here. Uh, but the build and the keyboard and so far have been very good. No give or flex. It’s an all- metal design, and that’s good to see. Let me continue setting this up. Now, as we’re setting up the Surface Laptop 13-in, there’s no face recognition, so you have to use the fingerprint scanner. Power button doubles as a fingerprint scanner. So, let’s set that up. And as they’re telling you, the power button is that fingerprint scanner. And as you can see, that’s it. That was very quick. So now I have to set up a pin. All right, let’s get a measurement of the weight. With the Surface Laptop 13 in alone, you’re looking at 1.221 kg and that is 2 lb 11.1 oz. Let’s put it back into kilog. Now with the 45 watt power charger and the power cord 1.386 kilograms and that is 3 lb 0.9 ounces for a total travel weight. So this is the camera on the brand new Surface Laptop 13 in here for 2025 1080p camera. It’s not IR. If you want to log in with uh FA, we can’t do face recognition. You’ll have to use the power button which doubles as a fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello. Uh what do you think about the video quality? What do you think about the audio quality? Let me know. Now, it does have the studio effects. You got the autoframing, the background blur here, the standard blur, the portrait blur, eye contact. You also have that here. So, it’s all there. What do you think about it? Let me know in the comments section below. All right, let’s check out the sound. Omnisic speakers on the laptop 13-in. And this, of course, I think has stereo speakers or whatever on the Surface Pro 12in. Let’s give them a listen. I’ll do further testing obviously in their individual reviews, but while we have them here up and running, let’s get a listen to both of them and you let me know what you think in the comments section below. Hello honey, how you been? Oh, it’s been such a long time. I can feel my heart jumping. Are you still mine? No. I never know what [Music] I Hey honey, how you been? Oh, it’s been such a long time. I can feel my heart jumping. Are you still on my nose? [Music] All right, so stay tuned. I’ll have more to say on the Surface Pro 12 in. I wanted to say 13 in. The Surface Pro 12 in. The Surface Laptop 13-in. So far, I’m actually pleasantly surprised on the build quality, especially for the price point. This is not a Surface Laptop Go. This is not a Surface Go. So, these are very premium devices. As far as the build, I’ll have to check to see if these 8 core processor from the Snapdragon line here, the Snapdragon Xline, X Plus, I should say, are worth it here. Especially when you can get probably the bigger siblings with which are more featurerich for less money. Sometimes you can get them on sale. So, for reduced price is what I’m trying to say. But these are looking actually pretty good. I like the color here. This ocean color is actually pretty good. So, pleasantly surprised by the build here and the overall premium quality of the exterior. Again, we’ll have to test the performance, all that. Just got it in. Need to do full testing. Battery life. We’ll have to do uh performance testing and all that. Compatibility issues. We’ll see if that’s going to be a something that we’ll have to deal with on this cuz it is an ARMbased processor. So, again, stay tuned. More to come. So, make sure you are subscribed to the channel. We’re making our big push for 250,000. We’re almost at 224. So big big growth here. And I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. So until next time, this is Andrew and I’ll see you in the next video. [Applause] [Music]
