oh my god Finding the best laptop for you is always a task Sometimes you have to give up on the performance Sometimes it’s a display and sometimes it’s the battery life So the laptop that you should be buying has to be good in all the important aspects Plus it should also have a proper NPU So it qualifies as a co-pilot plus PC Now the laptop that I’m showing you today has everything that you need Thanks You could have just given it to me It’s the all new Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 with the latest AMD Ryzen AI300 chipset This new AMD Ryzen AI300 processor comes with the latest 8 Gen 5 CPU cores that brings some crazy clock speeds There’s Radeon 800M series integrated GPU based on RDNA 3.5 and you also get industry-leading NPU powered by AMD XDNA2 technology which is capable of 50 tops and that lets you do a lot of AI tasks completely offline I’ll talk about everything in detail but let’s talk about the design first This laptop looks pretty cool in the steel color The Lenovo branding is minimal and the matte coating does not attract a lot of fingerprints It’s pretty slim and lightweight and due to its size it also fits in any bag easily and since it’s a metal build and military grade certified you can also be a bit of careless with it And by the way you won’t need any of this because you get all the required ports There are two fast type-C ports one HDMI 2.1 port one type A and a 3.5 mm audio jack as well So that’s pretty much everything about the design and the build Let’s just open this laptop and take a look at this stunning display It’s a beautiful 14-inch OLED display with 100% DCIP3 coverage and it also gets very bright In fact when I was using it indoors I never had to increase the brightness more than 50% It is that bright The widecreen aspect ratio also helps a lot while multitasking And when it comes to the most important thing which is movie watching this laptop just kills at it There’s Dolby Vision support so the colors just pop And with the quad speaker setup I think you’re pretty sorted The speakers are Dolby Atmos supported So the sound is pretty balanced even at max volumes By the way the laptop that we have with us is a 60 Hz OLED panel But if you can spend 4,000 more you can also get a 2.8K OLED panel with 120 Hz refresh rate So yeah the design and build check Display check Let’s see if this laptop checks the performance box also This laptop is powered by the latest AMD Ryzen AI7 350 chipset that comes with eight cores and 16 threads All of these cores are the latest Zen 5 cores clocked at 5 GHz There’s also the latest Radeon 860M GPU and the XDNA2 NPU with 50 tops Plus you also get 32GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM with a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD And if I talk about the benchmarks I was impressed to see better single core scores in Geekbench than both Intel and Snapdragon Cinebench R23 results are also equally impressive and it’s great to see that the PC Mark score was actually higher than Intel When it comes to productivity benchmarks the Puet bench scores for both Photoshop and Premier Pro are solid And the Crystal Disc Mark numbers are also great And if I talk about gaming I got around 110 FPS in Rocket League in maximum settings And if I drop the settings to medium the FPS shoots up to 180 FPS Apex Legends was running at 80 FPS with high graphics which is also very good I also played some AAA games like Blackmmith Wukong and Cyberpunk and both were running at 60 FPS with low graphics The biggest highlight of this laptop is that I was able to turn rate tracing on and still get cut 30 FPS with an iGPU That’s crazy man This is possible because of both AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution 3 and AMD FSR3 frame generation support So yeah don’t just go by the looks This thin and light laptop can also play AAA games at a respectable FPS which means that the performance box is also checked Now what’s next does it get hot well you know what i tested that also It doesn’t There are two fans inside to keep everything cool and the maximum temperature that I recorded was 43° around the hinge area but that’s only when I was gaming Under the normal usage the laptop remains pretty cool I mean pretty chill And I tested it with and without AC I mean with AC turned on and AC turned off In fact even when I was multitasking with Slack notion WhatsApp and Chrome with more than 30 40 tabs the laptop was taking it pretty sportingly And the 32GB RAM kept things smooth and there was no heating at all I also tried out Photoshop with multiple layers There was no lag at all And yeah you also get lifetime MS Office which is good Typing on this laptop is also very satisfying There’s proper key travel and you also get very nice feedback And if you’re like me who munches a lot while working you’ll be happy to know that there’s an oil and water resistant coating on top of them So you can be well you The glass trackpad is also very responsive and you get all the Windows gesture support Apart from all of this you get a 1080p webcam to make sure that you look sharp in your video calls There’s Windows face unlock support and you also get an electronic privacy shutter button which is nice In terms of connectivity there’s latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 So yeah it’s pretty sorted Now the most important question what about the battery life is that the catch with this laptop well not really You get a 70Wh battery with 65 W type-C charging And I got around 11 hours of battery life with normal work usage And when I was binging a lot during the weekends I got 12 Rs which is very impressive given laptop’s compact size and powerful performance It’s really great to see that even x86 laptops are catching up to the ARM level efficiency Keep it up Good work The charger is also very compact and since it’s a PD 3.0 charger you can use this one charger for all your devices even your iPhones Okay so here’s how we are doing so far Design display performance battery this laptop checks all the boxes And now let’s see if this laptop has all the AI features that a laptop should definitely have in 2025 First of all since you get a 50 tops NPU this is the C-Pilot Plus PC And there are some very interesting AI features like Windows studio effects which helps with the background blur during video calls live captions which provide real-time translation and co-creator in MSP to add a flare to your art But that’s not all You also get the latest Lenovo AI now which is actually very useful And the best part is that it works offline Let’s say you want to summarize a very detailed document but your internet is not working and you can’t reach chat GPD servers So you can just upload the document here and ask it anything about it The responses are fast accurate and it works completely offline There’s also this knowledge assistant where you can upload entire folder of files and then ask questions and it also works very well I really wish I had this feature when I was in college I actually had to study And by the way if you get good Wi-Fi there’s Chad GPD 40 Mini integrated to ask more technical stuff And finally if you find it very hard to navigate to a specific Windows settings Lenovo has you covered there too The PC assistant feature helps you find any Windows settings easily For example you can just ask to turn on Dolby audio and it will directly give you all the Dolby modes And by the way you’re also not limited to just this Lenovo AI I also tested out LM Studio to run some local LLMs like F3 which runs fast and writes code much faster than you There’s Topas AI to remove unwanted objects from photos and upscale older photos in an instant using the NPU And the Photoshop also uses the NPU for faster generative fill So no matter who you are whether you are a student or a working
