Good people. We’re here at Acer at Comp Computex. Huge shout out to them for helping us get here. They have some really exciting stuff. It is getting a little bit louder here. So, why don’t we go to a much quieter space and check out one of their world’s thinnest 14-in gaming laptop. This is the Acer Triton Predator Triton 14 AI. And this is a very special laptop. Yes, it is an AI PC. Point fact, the last Triton laptop that I reviewed was almost 3 years ago. It was an all plastic chassis and you know it was a very basic laptop but it had really good performance at the time but this is a huge step up in design. So let’s talk about it. So the idea behind the Triton 14 AI is essentially to offer a premium thin and light gaming experience uh in the 14-in laptop market. So the first thing that stands out to me is of course the size, right? This thing is super thin. It is less than 75 in and it only weighs around 3.5 lbs which is super lightweight. It’s a very interesting configuration. So Acer decided to go with an Intel Luna CPU, specifically the Core Ultra 9288V processor. Now what’s interesting about that chip is that the memory is integrated. It’s soldered onto the chip, which means you can configure it with up to 32 GB of RAM and it runs at insanely fast 8533 mega transfers per second. And it’s paired to an RTX 5070 laptop GPU. And it has four performance modes baked into Predator Sense, which is the software used to adjust and fine-tune the power settings. So, you have quiet, balanced, performance, and turbo. Turbo cranks this thing up all the way up to 95 watts with 15 watts of dynamic boost. So, it is within the Nvidia spec sheet. So again, that’s a lot of performance for a laptop within this form factor, but again, we have to wait and see what the results are going to be like, and the build quality is really good. So the whole chassis is made out of CNC mil aluminum, and it’s honestly one of the best looking laptops. It feels premium to the touch. The hinge is nice and solid. There’s not a lot of wobbling going around, but it also, here’s important part, most important test of a laptop is the one hand open test. So let’s just do it live. Three, two, one. Oh, you did it. That worked. If we take a closer look at the design, the A cover, it’s very simple. It has the updated Predator logo. It’s RGB lit and it can be controlled through the software uh that’s pre-installed. And Acer has actually added anti fingerprint coatings on top of this. So, right now, it looks pretty decent. It is a black laptop. That’s the only color that they’re going to be offering this in. And moving on to the interior space. I love what they’ve done with the styling here. The two-tone finish on the interior space is really cool. So the palmerus area is actually covered in glass. So the whole thing is super smooth and it still features that anti- fingerprint coating on top and the touch pad is integrated into the Palmer stereo and it features haptic motors. So this is probably one of the first gaming laptops in this form factor to feature this technology and it’s very strong. Like I’m really getting a good sense of that feedback which is really great. And you can adjust the strength of the haptics through windows. Now, because the trackpad is integrated into the palm rest area, Acer actually has uses these eliminated borders to uh make that differentiation. So, you know, you’re not confusing yourself and it does a pretty good job. If you look at my, you know, cursor movements, it’s pretty uh it’s pretty accurate. But doesn’t end there. Now, this is something really cool. One of the ideas behind this laptop was to cater it towards gamers as well as creators. So, what they’ve done is add stylus support to this trackpad. This will actually be included with the laptop. Unfortunately, there is no location or storage compartment for the stylus. So, you’re going to have to carry this separately. The stylus is pretty straightforward. It has a tip and two buttons right over here. Again, it reminds me of uh some of the Windows tablets that I’ve tested in the past. It’s built really well. It’s metal. Feels really good in the hand. Now, just with a few minutes of playing around with this setup, uh it feels really smooth. That glass surface again really helps with the glide. So again, I still have to spend a little bit more time when I get this in the studio to fully test its capability. So yeah, definitely stick around for our review. Now, that CPU choice is really interesting because from our tests, Luna Lake is actually really interesting choice for those who want really good battery life. Uh we’ve seen those results and I’m assuming that paired with a GPU of this class, uh you could expect probably really good battery life. In fact, the battery size is around 75 W hours. So, uh, that’s a sizable amount for a laptop within this form factor, and it charges via USB type-C, and it supports fast charge. Now, the cooling system for the Triton 14 AI has received a few interesting options or upgrades. So, this is one of the first gaming laptops to feature a graphine thermal interface material, which is really interesting. I’m really excited to put it put its spaces and test out its performance. So, certainly stay tuned for our full review. And it’s also paired with a vapor chamber cooling system. And it features their sixth generation of the Aeroblade metal fans. It’s 3D printed in-house patent design. So all of that should result hopefully in a very quiet and you know subtle gaming experience. That Luna Lake CPU paired with an RTX 570 is a really interesting combination, a very unique combination in fact. And to wrap things up, we have a pretty standard keyboard with per key RGB lighting that can be customized through competitor sense. So about that key travel, uh, Aser was able to achieve that by a combination of that graphine thermal interface and the thin vapor chamber. So that would have allowed them to make the laptop even thinner, but instead of doing that, they optimized for travel distance and also made sure that they could maintain a high TGP. Port selection is pretty minimal. You get two USB type-C ports, uh, which feature Thunderbolt 4 support, not the five. Uh, you get two USB type A 3.2 Gen 2 ports an audio jack and a micro SD card reader. I don’t get that uh because this is a creator focused laptop and the fact that they decided to slam a micro SD card reader still is very questionable, but it’s there if you need it. And you also get an HDMI 2.1 port. Now, the last thing to cover here is the display. So, this features a 14.5 in 2.8K OLED panel with 120 Hz of refresh rate. It is Calvin verified, which means it covers 100% of the P3 Carl gamut. And because it is OLED, the peak outdoor brightness output is very minimal. It’s only 340 nits for SDR brightness output. So yeah, overall a very interesting laptop. I’m excited to get this get hands- on time with this a little bit more when I get to the office. But uh yeah, pricing is TBD. Uh again, with the current situation on tariffs, they’re still working on that. But uh let us know what you guys think. So that was the Triton 14 AI, but Acer also decided to update their Neo-14 series, which is more of an accessible lineup. Uh something that’s entry level, something that’s a little bit more budget friendly. Uh because you are going to be compromising on things like build quality. It is still using the previous generation design, but in this case, they’ve updated the specs. So this time, you’re getting the Core Ultra 9285HL processor, and it’s paired with up to an RTX 570 laptop GPU. Interestingly, the TGP on the Neo4 is slightly higher than the Triton 14 since Acer’s using a slightly thicker chassis. So, they were able to feed it with a little bit more power. So, we’re talking 100 Ws of TGP, which is 5 watts more than the Triton, which is not too far, but it has still has a 15 watts of dynamic boost. So, yeah, overall, again, a very compact, fairly lightweight laptop. Uh, I do like the overall build quality, very entry- level Focus. So, that is the Acer Neo14 AI. So, that’s it from Acer here at Computex. Thank you so much for watching and let us know what you guys think about the new Triton 14 AI. I’m really excited about that laptop. I really want to get my hands on it. Uh I’m curious to hear your thoughts. And of course, if you want us to do a comparison between the Triton and the Neo4, let us know in the comments down below. That’ll be really interesting. But that’s it. I’m Eber with Hurricane signing off. Dimmitri behind the camera, Michael and Robert somewhere over there. But I’ll talk to you guys in another
